Finally someone's explaining in full detail about the happeneings over the past few days. I'm glad were cutting out the shady ass middle man and youre now working directly with Telanir and Tythus. I'm also glad to see you're understanding of grievances and are willing to have mutual respect for the community in this whole endeavor by being completey transparent and open to answering questions without giving vague, egotistical, shady ass answers.

I mean this honestly is a **** show, I think it just reflects badly on staff not the player base. This scene21 guy just invites one of the few youtubers who do anything near what LoTC does and then throws him at two people (who I assume were clueless how to show them around).

You shouldn't really apologize since really it was both staff and user fault. If the staff in charged had given us warnings about this and how things will go, as well as having better solutions to sort out player issues. Meanwhile, the players who reacted badly shouldn't have overreacted as they did, such as screaming and complaining about the duck skin. While I'm aware that it's because the skin was against our lore. I believe you actually should have gone through the same process we did and actually read the lore (I'm unaware of how much you've read but I do recommend reading the main pieces of lore).

 

But overall, I'm glad you like LOTC and I hope you do come back. Just make sure you both have proper skins (for your friend, I recommend high elf with blonde hair and blue eyes, with black robes. Or heck, staff, just give him the chance to disguise himself as a chicken and let him be a real duck! Just to match his persona.) I've seen some of your videos with Sky and co and I will admit, they can brighten up anyone's day. And you're right about the applications from your fanbase, they will have to put some effort into making their applications but hopefully they will enjoy the server and that everyone helps them.

I think it's a great and beneficial idea to bring you into our world of roleplay, the duck thing is probably the biggest part of it, but other than that I am totally with you. We tend to have a serious RP lore going, and there are only 2 ways maybe that I could think of that could even possibly work for him to be a duck. He would either be created by an Aengul which would definitely be written into the lore if such an event were to happen, otherwise maybe you could be a necromancer and have an undead duck? There would have to be persona changes but it could also be seen as a very memey thing to do, as Necromancers are in the more serious rp area because it deals with Dark Magic.

I don't think that you advertising for us is an inherently bad thing. I just think it was done in the wrong way. Obviously on LOTC you cant' play as a duck, and people should have been open to approach you and RP with you (within reason, I know there are folks out there just looking to ruin people's fun) without being pushed away by the admins.

 

It's the rules and the dynamic nature that really makes this server. If we're going to advertise we need to be true to our product.

 

(Also, I'm an Application team and a forum moderator so if this pulls through I'll be working harder on both ends. crap)

Hi Gizzy and thanks for making a post. While I can't speak for the entire server, I'd like to apologize for participating in the mob mentality that came from your arrival. Ultimately, this issue is the fault of certain members of the staff and the lack of communication that went on between them and the players and I'd like to see them take the necessary steps to inform the players if something like this were to happen again.

 

While I don't attest to you posting the video, and you've already addressed the issue, I'm still concerned about the type of people the video will attract. I suppose we'll see, however.

You've gotta understand that this isn't a bad server, its just people cant control themselves when a popular YouTuber comes along. The best 100% absolute way of getting solid recordings and experiencing the server like how we all do, is to use some type of disguise (alt account.) None of us are mad at you, speaking personally I had no issue with you but with Scene21, who pretty much has been ousted so far IMO because of his own actions. You seem like a chill guy, not the kind of YouTuber I'd subscribe to, hell I don't think I have even subscribed to anyone, but you seem like a chill guy, and from a brief look at your channel I think that Lord of the Craft and yourself can have a great relationship.

I am not for the duck thing, but to point out, in Aeigs and sometimes forward, there was a Halfling/Oc in a fish costume named Fishy.

 

It was approved by the admins at the time, so if you want to write up something similar to that I am sure it could be done.

 

If not, then tell your friend to make their character look like a duck.

Blonde hair, eyes, a ruffled and yellow tint to clothing and maybe some big lips. There are alternatives here and I think you should explore them.

Skins:

Like I said in the first post, if I knew it was mandatory it wouldn't have been an issue. It was mentioned in the teamspeak chat before recording but when asked if we could keep our normal skins, they said yes. If I knew it was mandatory I would happily have changed it. Please be aware though that Cibseption (my friend) IS a duck on Minecraft. He will NOT be changing his skin because it wouldn't make sense on his channel. However, we can give him a medieval duck skin if that works?

Second, it is NOT HITLER. I saw some people in the response say it's hitler. It's a tongue and mouth. TONGUE AND MOUTH XD (I get that all the time it's cool, an unfortunate branding of the skin I can't go back on now).

 

Scene 21:

When Scene contacted me via email, he gave me the impression that he was one of the owners of LOTC. I was not happy after later talking with Telinir to learn he is not in fact an owner nor should have contacted me. Now reading these responses learn he didn't even inform you guys I would be invovled in the server or answer any questions. I'm sorry if my sudden arrival caused some concerns, I understand. I've blocked Scene21 on all accounts and only talk directly to Telinir now.

 

Staff:

It seems that the main majority of at fault was the staff of LOTC not informing you guys about me filming, or setting things up correctly. For me personally I thought they did a really good job at looking after me and making sure my experience was great, I had a really good time filming. But of course, they upset you guys though. I can't apologise for them but I have been informed that this is the first time they've worked with a big youtuber in a very long time. Of course there would be some teething problems and it's a new experience no one is use too.

Roleplay:

Yes, my roleplay is a little different to you guys. Infact at this point I don't even call my videos "roleplay" anymore, but "shows" because you're right. The roleplay is very different to you guys, and if anything THIS SERVER is roleplay, and my channel have SHOWS. I work on shows on my channel, and this is a roleplay server. So yes my channel and this server is very different.

Like I replied earlier I'm a major fan of your work, and I belive I speak for alot of people when I say we are excited to have you on and showcasing out potential, we have been at a rate of about 150 members on and it would be nice to see you post it and maybe we get more players and more rp, and it would allow the server to reach its potential again, like I said thank you for coming on gizzy, I may not be an owner or gm but I am very appreciative of all you have done to help
