Only concern would be the cool down timer. While I understand why it's there, I believe that after a while it can and will get annoying. As others have said, please kindly remove that feature and we'll all be good buddies.

Fantastic job. I am curious though, if when we swap channels it will denote what channel we are talking in, as it currently does now?

ie. If I talk in /w, it would say (whisper): blah blah blah

I am not including a cooldown to be fun and enticing. This may be a controversial matter but what I know for certain is that chat on Lord of the Craft is far too cluttered. Like give me a break, the moment you have more than a few people speaking in a group it is difficult to even comprehend what is going on and catch up with the flood of text. Being able to read things from top-to-bottom and know that every individual section is 1 person and not 3 interrupting one another is very important.

Say that you've got an issue you want to cover but you can't do it in one line. You don't press enter after one line and keep typing because very soon your message will scroll all the way up and be eaten by waves of text. Use continuity and append your message, send your message when you are ready. (5 seconds, is not a lot).

Suppose you get hit by the cooldown monster—just press the up arrow and try again in a bit. You haven't lost your message.

One of my philosophies for RoleplayEngine is that it is time that we fix chat clutterIt is time we make chat readable. That is why I send 'Nobody heard you' in a different line, why I send 'You need to wait X before typing' in the different line. This is why I've added continuity and this is why I am putting my foot down and cooldowns will stay—don't even ask. We can deal with 5 seconds in RP (Undertone/Whisper notwithstanding) and 20 seconds in shout. But I love you guys and we will give this a shot and if some of the cooldown timers are too much they can be changed in realtime while we are online so it's not a problem making changes.

Absolutely. The only thing that is not denoted is emotes, emotes still appear as usual (I may want to figure out a way to add the tag to emotes as well, if people want that), however they will assume the same chat radius as the RP channel you are in.

20 seconds in shout.

20 second cooldowns for shout? I somewhat aprove of that as it will remove all of the spam while rallying for warclaims is happening. But what if you get your shout wrong? What if you spelt something wrong or accidently sent the wrong message. You have to wait 20 seconds before sending another shout which is a fix.

You can correct it immediately in /looc if you like. Anti-spam timer is chat specific.

More video tutorials like these will help the community ! Make more, go on your channel and make a playlist, make a thread post of all the new additions, Mark it as important and hand it out to new players after their app is accepted. Makes things a lot better and easier :) just amazing work!
