The following is a statement from the Palace of Courland, as read by Ser Demetrios of Nikae.

"On a quiet northern evening, the Duke of Courland was riding towards Riga atop of his trusted steed, Karl.

It was out of the nowhere that a band of Carnatian and Krajan soldiers jumped from the forest, cutting down the Duke's horse. His guardsmen were brutally killed and he , the Duke, captive to a band of rebels.

Jan of House Kovachev and his men have breached Imperial law for the slaughter of innocents, the kidnapping of a Privy Councillor (A crime which is equivalent to treason) and the continuous provocation of vassals of the Empire.

They have breached the agreements made during the diet of Saltstone, and are therefore deserving of death for their actions. Their disobedience to His Imperial Majesty has warranted Imperial intervention to these, the traitors of the Crown.

Let it be known that the Raevir of Carnatia and Kraja are traitors to the Crown, and will pay the ultimate price for their treason. The men of the Cour and the men of the Empire shan't stand for it, their blades now longing for the blood of the Carnatian and Krajan Raevir fighters."

"What we've got here is failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach...
So, you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it!
Well, he gets it!
N' I don't like it any more than you men."

The Great Purge of the Carnatians has begun.

Alexander Merentel would be standing next to his master, Ser Demetrios, as a good squire.

When the speech is done he would nod his head in agreement and shout, with the others: "Purge the Raevir!"

"They want to lead Oren into a Civil War, and initiate a genocide of one of Oren's most populous people, are these people mad, they seem to have the stupidity that the old Salvians from Salvus had." Myakovsky says in disbelief to his comrades, shaking his head.

"Purge th' Raev', ah'm 'osten' th' party t'night," Carrick would murmer with a glance down to Saltslicer the sword that was 'confiscated due to OOC BULLSHIT' from Ivan the Goldcorp. He'd then hear Demitrios say something about him getting a wife, to which he replies with a string of rather coarse language.

((Not my choice of words for the description of the sword BTW.))
