ppl who compare this update to the sprint and food update honestly makes me scream out yikes irl...

 

changing the whole dynamic of how one of the biggest features in a game operates is much different than both of them. Also there were already mods in place pre 1.7 to allow people to sprint whilst fighting so it didn't even get as much back lash as people like to make out when trying to draw comparisons w/ this update.

 

despite what you see from reading mc forums.. this update is clearly unfavorable towards pvp servers, gd example is OC.TC which once had 1k~ 1.7, 500-800 1.8, struggling to stay over 100 1.9.

Nexus-Combat was removed due to popular demand, so yes, we did listen. Originally it's release was demanded from above before it was ready and I wasn't happy for a time that it would be judged based on its beta—didn't work out so we removed it, that was that.

 

Now though it's an official part of MC, time to get used to it. It's not broke PvP, you just need to learn how to PvP now.
