Your Favorite Impure 736 Share Posted June 8, 2016 I don't usually comment on these type of things, but I must admit this is really intriguing. Well done!
Sky 0 Share Posted June 8, 2016 That's cool and all, but could we now have an epic spawn for the rest of us (holy users, and rest)? Or, only spooks get the epic spawn? Disappointing if they do...

Disappointing if they do... Think of it this way, this spawn was mostly made for the constructs that wouldn't RP'ly spawn in the temple in the first place. The reason they extended it to dark art users is an option for them to keep it open as a RP hub. - Holy users and "good" have the monk spawn. While the darker side of things have this. Also if you split up every single magic grooup the monk players wouldn't be able to suply that and go innactive / removed again.
Blundermore 2741 Share Posted June 8, 2016 Are we going to see mechanical buffs for non spook groups? It seems highly biased atm that there are several undead buffs going around with more officially planned on the way and not even an after thought for the other side of the coin. Like holy magic users like keepers ascended augurs etc.

Blundermore 2741 Share Posted June 8, 2016 Didn't know that. Still leaves the proportion between spooks and holy users vastly apparent mechanical wise. Seems highly unfair that there are these creatures that gain almost godlike buffs and yet the groups actually capable of negating that advantage have nothing leading to extremely one sided fights if and when pvp is called. Seems terribly biased is all.

Seems terribly biased is all. It's not biased, just that you get the normal descendant buffs - which are all very good (bar human). On top of that, an Undead or Antagonistic character has more chance to be mass mobbed and PvP'd, needing the buffs (which are literally for survivability more than anything) to just have a fair chance of outrunning 10 people. Gladuos 869 Share Posted June 8, 2016 A being of pure aengudaemonic energy, meant to provide the descendants with hope, joy, and kindness, slowly awakens in the depths of the abyss. "What the Nether?" ((Lol Poor augurs having their home spawn with a ton of undead.))
E__V__O 2000 Share Posted June 8, 2016 Just use golden weapony. It's super effective at all spooks. That is your holy weapon everyone can use. Holy magic users already as pointed have decendent buffs already, unless you yourself wants to CODE a magic plugin. Holy users shouldn't get a buff in this reguard. As stated, use golden weapons. Wretched 2075 Author Share Posted June 8, 2016 yeah... I'm aware of the problem with Augurs spawning in the Sanctum and... Dreadknights/Paleknights not spawning there. Hopefully this will be remedied soon but, techies are busy people. I'll keep you all updated on any progress. As for the 'bias', this was created to stop spooky characters spawning in the CT and give them an alternative place to RP where they won't be killed on sight. There isn't really any sort of buff going on at all, by aligning to the Abyss you actually just remove all racial bonuses you had and get the default descendant race, that's just fact, it's not a buff. Yes, we may add something a bit later to compensate for this but I doubt it's going to be all that significant. Holy users need squat, honestly. Just as much as fire evocationists don't need anything. Spectres and Necrolytes are just like any other race, the only difference is that their massive strengths have massive weaknesses. I've been 2 hit killed by gold swords more times than I'd like to mention. The Sanctum was made for both 'good and evil'. Good no longer has to witness spooky RP around the CT with no means to prevent it, and the evil now has a place to do it without being harassed for doing it.
