A Writ of Excommunication

As Decreed by His Holiness and the Synod on the 13th of The Grand Harvest, 1573

Foreword.

On the aftermath of the riot that have taken place within the streets of Johannesburg, His Holiness wishes to affirm his intentions concerning the perceived violence and shock. It is the vigilance of the Canonist flock, that the justice of God be manifested in all the baptized and elect. The plague of Dreadlander apostasy and injustice must be inhibited truthfully, guided by the Spirit of GOD. It is with this notion that His Holiness blesses those who fight against the encroachments of Iblees and of heresy, yet does not condone for the riot’s desire to damage any edifice within the capital city.

Declaration.

As of this saint’s day, the Synod of the Holy Church of the Canon, along with the High Pontiff, His Holiness, Sixtus IV, guided by the Creator and in pursuit of the just judgment of GOD, does decree the excommunication of the illegitimate Guy Owyn from the Holy Canonist Church.

Reason.

As decreed in the Imperial Legal Codex and with full coordination without reservation from the High Magistrate, The Church finds reasons justified in secular law, pertaining to the Second, Fifth, and Sixth of the Ten Tables of the law. It is with appropriate intent and causation to extend the writ of excommunication by reasons of attempted murder upon the Vicar of God himself within the walls of the Imperial Palace. Let it be known, that on the day of such indecency and sacrilege, that Guy Owyn, with full malice and intent, pointed a loaded crossbow with the finger at the ready to fire at High Pontiff Sixtus IV. Upon his exit, Owyn's audacious and ill-conceived nature impelled him to fire an arrow at the direction of His Holiness’ departure. It is unbecoming for a member that is so much affiliated with the House of Horen to act with such sacrilege and aggressive conduct.

Conclusion.

For the Glory of GOD and the fellowship of the Canonist Church, in these presence, hereby sever Guy Owyn from salvation of the Seven Skies for reasons of injury to the Person, the Faith, and the Morality of Imperial Oren. But let it be known, it is not mere injury to justice, but blatant blasphemy against the Divinity of the Lord. So help us GOD.

Signed,

HIGH PONTIFF SIXTUS IV, Successor of the Immaculate Throne of the Exalted, Supreme Pontiff of the Church of Canon, Keeper of the Holy Scrolls, High Servant to the Exalted's Testaments, Humble Servant of the Faithful and Vicar of God

"Truly a fair ruling, I am proud that civility has become an enforced value." He nods at Sixtus with a smirk; the conversation was certainly productive.
