Yes and no. Certain parts remain hidden to remain as a surprise for future event lines, as an example. A lot of magic groups have had hidden lore for the purpose of them not wanting it meta-gamed.

As someone who's actually gotten to rp a good portion of this lore, no. 

You're not entitled to know anything, nor do the staff have to reveal anything to you.

They didn't even have to reveal this stuff. They chose to.

Of course the LMs have right to keep lore hidden, though I'll say this was a bit much lore to have hidden, but every team still has their fair bit of privacy, if the LT wants to hide something they feel is too vital to future events and that they don't want metagamed, then let them have it hidden.
