Well time to hide every chest ten miles underground.

What exactly are you robbing though? Does this mean that you can lockpick chests and they can be freely taken from? For example If I break into an Orc palace Im not restricted to taking just their RP Items. But also materials and loot???

I understand the system is mainly for RP, but what exactly are the limits for which you can use heists? Could you use a heist to, say, sabotage an area (i.e cripple a farm by killing a large amount, if not all, animals, destroy supply chests instead of trying to take things, vandalize buildings) if you wanted to? Along with that, if you do actually want to take things, will the typical restrictions to lockpicks apply?

YA. Who can be targets of a heist? Are you allowed to break blocks during a heist?

Maybe as a compromise people who bring weapons and gear cannot carry any loot from crack chests/vaults? In roleplay you'd have muscle or archers to look out and then a few guys with lockpicks/demolitons/arcane something to breach the treasure.

Good to see this here finally. Time to raid the cloud temple vault.

I'll clear a few things up as there's a few misconceptions as to how the system should be used.

Firstly, with each person being allowed to have two slots - as Jaeden has said, yes you will need people who will be the 'lockpick guy' or the 'tnt guy' when going into the heist. However when coming out of the heist, still only with two slots you are able to grab over 6 stacks of 1 block between the 10 attackers. Perhaps they could all be iron blocks, - which is 3,600 iron. That's still quite a lot of iron and could certainly cripple a nation's power in a upcoming warclaim. 3,600 iron also amount to roughly 25k mina due to the current going rate of iron.

You can bring weapons if you want, of course. You have 10 people and you can devide them up how you like, however you have to remember that you'll not be getting to bring as many lockpicks or tnt.

Someone mentioned that they would have to hide all of their chests. But why would you? If you live in a small house on the top of this hill that has 2 gold bars in it's basement, why would anyone perform a heist on it when they can instead target nation storehouses. It would be very unlikely someone would target small locations like that.

Also, this is the definition of heist you're meant to try and steal things.

I really like this but I do have a few questions. Are single player robberies no longer a thing?

Also, how would this work in practice? Will defenders get a notification that a heist is being performed on them? Will it turn pvp or is this complete RP?

The question of whether or not blocks can be broken during heists to get to chests or various other locations has yet to be answered and I think that is an important area that must be addressed explicitly.

I'd say allow 5 slots for use.

This way, people are encouraged to set 'roles' for the members of the heist; i.e: Breaching guy, weapons guy, lockpick guy, etc etc.

2 slots is way too limited. I feel as if it's the whole Defender Default thing again with guards. The defenders are given more than the attackers.

I assumed that the 2 slots were only for stealing items, not for items that you're able to use in your inventory from the start to the end of the heist.

So you'd be able to have lockpicks/TNT/weapons/whatever in other slots and only have the 2 slots be used for items that you are stealing.

Good questions. Single player robberies were only for doing a modreq to ask a GM if there is a specific RP item in the chest and then getting the GM to give you the items.

I wonder what will happen if someone logs in while his or her house is under a heist... Like, I'm not sure if it'd be against the rules for the victim to just take items out of his chests while the heist is happening.

I mean, I personally think that bringing 3 items only (including offhand) would be bad. I think that it needs to be expanded to 3 slots on the hotbar, but this 3rd slot has special conditions, such as arrows or lockpicks.

And what about food?

The defenders won't be told that a heist is being performed on them - that would defeat the purpose of making it secret, and gives the attackers a chance of stealing items without being found out.

You can't break blocks - That's griefing. It does say in the post however that you are allowed to RPly use TNT to blow down vault doors etc.

Nope, you're only allowed to use those two slots during the whole heist. So ideally at the start of the heist you'd be using them for weapons/lockpicks/tnt and then at the end of the heist, you'll have the good you wish to steal in those slots.

If someone logs in during the heist, and finds out the attackers are trying to steal their things - they can for sure take them from the chest however it's upto the attackers on how they wish to proceed from there.

You can have upto 10 people in the heist, so that means 20 slots - you could have one of those people have their slots filled with food. Also I'm changing the stackable item limit, where if the item is food you're allowed a full stack in the slot.
