Favorite RP moments?

What are some good quality RP moments you've experienced in LotC?

 

One of my good RP moments was when my character accidentally fell down a hole and landed a few hundred feet down into the Mori'Quessir city. Journaling and recording all that was seen, my character explored the underground city alone and also tried to find the exit. Along the way my character met a native Mori and he kindly showed me the exit of the city. Since my character was a broker, we struck a trade deal and my character went back home.

 

Another good RP moment was back when magic was nearly absent from all of LotC and my character tried to learn it from a sagely High Elf, but he warned against all the bad things about Magic and dissuaded my character from learning it, yet we had a good discussion about philosophy while remaining in character.

 

What are some examples of quality RP moments you've had in LoTC?

In the past month or so, I must say that playing Anna Sofia Penrose (formerly Jrent) has been some of the BEST roleplay I've had thus far on the server. From switching between many tutors as a younger kid, experiencing attacks of terror directed at her family, and being able to travel the world as an envoy currently, I must say I'm excited for the future!

Some of the best role-play that's happened to be on the server has been stuff like my terrorism in Vandoria and my emote fight with Swgrclan and Meguzara. I also heavily enjoyed it when Guck and I 3/6'd the Paladins last year, was truly an invigorating success.

Easy. 

 

Back in Anthos, Wardog and I were going to kill Dwyn and Quav for being willing slaves to the black scourge. So one night as they were attempting to heal Birdwhisperer's frost witch, Dak and the Lich attacked from the trees and shot Quav. The Lich jumps down to engage Dwyn and Dak joins him. Bird's Frostie havin' a hankering for white meat drags him away and proceeds to kill him. The Lich engages Dwyn and as Dak is about to, he's blindsided by Sky's guardsman. They tuffle for a bit and the Lich finishes offing Dwyn but as he does he's stabbed from behind by an (And I **** you not) edgy human girl with a naginata but as the Lich is bone he shakes it off and then begins to beat her to death. As this happens Dak is forced on the defensive as he's pummeled and Sky's character draws as knife. He raises it above his head to finish off Dak and suddenly Arzar's character Oropher uses a root of the great mother stump and then successfully launches the first into space. It was a great time. Dak had a laugh, the Lich was a grump and just grunted, Bird's Frostie had a big dinner, and as Oropher realized Sky's character wasn't coming down he just sort of started at his hand in a mixture of fear and awe.

Just about everything I did in the town of Siegrad in Athera and the formation of the Kingdom of Haense in this map.

to be honest i haven't had many rp situations since i've only been here a couple months, but guard rp is fun man.

 

though oddly enough the one i enjoyed the most was one of the shorter situations i've been in. long story short an old friend of my character rebelled and they lost contact for years, then found eachother again, they argued, which lead to my char being stabbed. traitor friend dragged him to safety and patched him up though. it was a character changing moment tbh

Magic stand-off between my mage and ventai's necromancer and his lich pal. Where else but the rafters of Athera's most cancerous tavern? Some good emotes were thrown about and my character ended up surviving to recall the events.

 

I'm a sucker for mage rp so I'll give elad, Combustionary, Wendigo, and Whimsycal some shoutouts for other memorable rp duels.

In Athera, my favourite moment was mostly all of the roleplay I did within the Drunken Monk tavern, such as just serving people, learning alchemy, and having just typical roleplay that was fun to the ear. I especially loved the time when Beth the Snow Druid was dared to eat 1000 pieces of pancake and Elvira had to make them. Beth still owes Elvira those minas.

 

Vailor, well that had a lot of good moments for my character Elvira. She became a cleric, she took part in a lot of events, and had some great moments. The best one would probably be when Elvira was captured by Aerial's character Gareth/Dralazar. While we didn't have full roleplay everyday during her capture, some of the moments we did RP, such as Dralazar and Elvira just casually talking was very interesting, plus provided me with some developement for Elvira, making her a more understanding and not so white-viewed. It was very different yet special.

 

As for Axios. Well, I won't actually say much since we not long just got into Axios. However, so far my favourite has been when Elvira, Ryder, Leric, Ravondir, Kinre, and Dorm ventured into a realm with a mind of its own and encountered Azdromoth. First time seeing him and when he grabbed Elvira's hand, I actually paused and had a small panic moment. It was scary yet it's my favourite moment from Axios to date.

Oh where to begin! I've been playing since back in Anthos! 

A few of my favorite moments, have to be from Fringe.

My character, Araira Maltac, was a small 7 year old high elf with several brothers and sisters.

Her brother, Cloud, and her, were inside a cave next to a Dryad's tree, Cloud lived there. Cloud and her were enjoying some deer meat when a necromancer (You know this story, Mr Joe.) came and started sapping the Dryad's tree, we killed the fire and stayed inside. We thought we were safe until the necromancer and his waifu strolled in, Araira imitated a bear's roar to the best of her ability, and they were found, Cloud told the Necromancer his sappy sad life story and eventually the Necromancer got so bored of Cloud crying that he just kicked him and left. 

 

Another moment was on my Halfling whom adopted a human, it was during the Setherien Battle, and I was standing ontop of the Fringe portal screaming "Do you wanna build a snowman" lyrics while throwing snowballs at him. Safe to say a harbinger got tired of me and rekted me.

 

I don't recall that many great moments, besides the time in Athera on Araira when Araira sat in a corner whilst Primose, her mother, was burning a priest alive while softly singing 'Burn baby Burn' if I recall, whilst someone stood outside humming loudly. It was fairly great.

My favorite RP moment was that time I ran around with @ScubaSteveee and @ren!, and Lorcalin was almost arrested in Oren for wearing polka-dotted shorts.

 

And just about every other RP I've had with these guys. It was all really light-hearted, fun stuff. I should bring Merc back.

 

I suppose something more quality  that I enjoyed was when Artimec attuned my Druid, it really brought all of her backstory together and caused her to grow as a character.

Probably Jon's ascent to Knighthood.  He's a lovely character, and very personal to roleplay because I imbued in him a lot of real life weaknesses that have similar effects on my own life.

The first one:

Back in Vailor when a creepy door told me to... Kill... Kill!

And of course I told all the Uruks beside me that it wants blood, and we slaughtered an entire room of the other descendants.

 

The Second:

When I tried to be kind to Oreners and give gifts until a squadron saw me walking to Oren and took all the gifts meant for the citizens.

And soon after the King or whatever was like "WRYYYYY, URUK, URUK!!! KILL KILL" and some guy shot me with a crossbow
