Imperial Citizenship

IMPERIAL CITIZENSHIP

 

The Imperial Administration sees fit to reform the process of applying for and being granted citizenship so as to issue the rightful honorifics of certain esteemed individuals, and acknowledge the contributions that the growing burgher class provide to the Empire. It is thus that further classes of citizenship are formed, and it is therefore required that all lawful citizens of the Empire seek the Imperial Administration so that they may be issued the proper paperwork once they are accepted as citizens. Henceforth, all citizens of noble or gentle birth shall carry on their personage their citizenship papers, so that the men of the Imperial Legions and other officials may inspect them as they deem necessary when the need doth arise.

I. CLASSIFICATIONS

A. NOBLE GROUP
Class A citizens are the aristocracy of the Empire, and through the lawful grants of the Imperial Crown they do administer its various provinces, muster their own levies, etcetera.

1. IMPERIAL CLASS
Class A1 citizens are the Imperial Class, including the imperial family exclusively.

2. PRINCELY CLASS
Class A2 citizens, known as the Princely Class, are top tier vassals of the Empire. This would include, for example, the King of Haense and his family, or the High Prince of Malin and his family.

3. DUCAL CLASS
Class A3 citizens, whose informal name is the Ducal Class, encompass those the crown has seen fit to reward with a duchy, archduchy, etcetera, and their families.

 

B. GENTLE GROUP
The gentle group are the lower ranks of the Orenian aristocracy, ruling baronies, viscounties, counties, etcetera in service of their lawful and rightful liege lords, or assist those whom therein do so.

1. LANDED CLASS
Class B1 citizens include those vassals of dukes, kings, etcetera whom are enfeoffed with a sizable fief in service to their liege lord. This includes counts, barons, and their families.

2. MASTERLY CLASS
Class B2 citizens are the knights of the Imperium Quintus and their households which have been through their service granted manoral lands or have otherwise been landed.

3. BURGHER CLASS
Class B3 citizens are of the middle class; they are the bourgeoisie whose hard work is the backbone of the Empire. To qualify for Class B3 must hold public office, receive a commission as an officer in the Imperial Legions, or be hired as an advisor to the crown.

 

C. COMMON GROUP
The common group are the hard working and ever loyal subjects of the Empire, toiling in the fields, running the shops and fueling the economy. They are the lifeblood of Oren. 

1. REGISTERED CLASS
Class C1 consist of the normal common folk of our glorious Empire whom have taken the time to protect themselves by way of filing the proper paperwork which they lawfully are required to so that they may obtain legal citizenship.

2. ILLEGAL CLASS
Class C2 consists of illegal immigrants, whom do not have the right to own property, among other things, and are even lower than the common peasant. If they desire to become citizens they are required to fill out the proper paperwork.

 

II. CLAUSES

A. DOCUMENTATION
All would be citizens of the Empire are expected hitherto to fill out the proper paperwork so that they may be registered properly and documented within the Imperial Administration. It is a requirement to be a citizen if one wishes to purchase property, serve in public office, etcetera.

 

B. PASSPORTS
Properly registered citizens are likewise required to carry a copy of their passport. Upon filling out the documentation they will be issued a free passport; if it is lost, they may purchase another from the Imperial Administration for a sum of 30 mina.

 

C. GRANDFATHERING
No one will be grandfathered in from previous systems. All those who have in the past filled out citizenship forms must once more resubmit their paperwork and be issued a new passport. This is because a new form has been designed, a new classification system is in place, etcetera.

 

III. APPLICATION

A. PREREQUISITE
Refer to the Section I for information on what qualifiers exist for the higher classes. However, there's a simple checklist: Are you a landed noble, a knight, or a public servant / legion officer / imperial advisor? No? Then you are Class C2 as of now, but after filing papers you'll be C1.

[ADDITIONALLY, all Class A and Class B citizens must explicitly agree to an OOC PK clause, which is included below. Post it with your citizenship application if you are Class A or Class B.]

 

B. INSTRUCTION
First, fill out the paperwork and submit it. Second, seek a member in the Imperial Administration for a passport [an item in game]. Third, keep the passport on your person at all times [I suggest your ender chest, via /me then persona then ender chest].

 

C. APPLICATION
Use the following form to apply for citizenship. A member of the Imperial Adminsitration will promptly be with you to issue a passport, sort out any issues in the form, etcetera. Need help? Contact one beforehand!
