Where's the consistency on coups?

Why do you get mad at a man for using the acknowledged proper mechanisms for handling a situation like this?

What Arteh did was found to be proper by the GMs and by the rules alike, so I'm not sure why you're getting up in arms about this.

Because it's not proper and it clearly breaks the rules: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/153354-nation-leader-rule-addition/

He's not a nation leader, just the primary region owner. He has the right to do what he deems fit with the region in terms of ownership and membership.

He still needs to give one week for the primary region owner to declare open rebellion. This was not done..

Wish this game made any sense at all...

I log on to my region being controlled without being notified whatsoever.

A knight that logs on for two minutes a day suddenly takes over the entire region of Metz.

Great ! +1

I'm actually curious as to how this could happen, a GM would of had to oversee your removal and they allowed it. I'm going to just assume Tsuyose was the one that removed you from the region so let's give him hell.

And having Arteh break a region rule is ok? How did he even get primary region owner been ship? Babadooks was the primary region owner, who removed him? A GM perhaps?

Arteh has always primary region owner?

Im pretty sure it wasnt Tsuyose. I think it was another GM but im 99% SURE  it wasnt Tsyuose.

Arteh is a freaking snake. A ooc skype lord does not deserve to have any region control. He logs on only when his damn baby is being threatened and uses his connections over skype to get what he wants. The "Duke" is in control of the duchy not some puppetlord. Tsuyose most likely was the one to do it though. Most other gms think before they act.

Let's compare the Felsen coup to Arteh's coup today.

Felsen coup:

  • Had legitimate RP. It wasn't even OOCly discussed or planned at all, we just came in wanting to kill the Head Steward for trying to seize our power, and after he rallied the rest of Oren to defend him, we ended up seizing the city.
  • We held the city for several hours during peak.
  • We fought and defeated an Orenian army trying to take it back.

Result: We got kicked from region ownership despite there being no mechanism for that at the time, and then we all lost region perms and were forced to leave.

Arteh's coup:

  • No RP at all. He just logged on, got a few guys and walked into Metz. Job done, GG wp. The people they were couping weren't even online and had no chance to react.
  • He didn't hold the city for any decent length of time at all, he just went in and closed all the gates before leaving. He also did it way outside of peak time.
  • He didn't fight any Lorrainean or Rebellion forces and, before you say that's their own fault, they had no time to attack since they were all insta-kicked from the region and the "coup" was done outside of peak times.

Result: Arteh kicked all the other region owners without following the procedure given by the rules(https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/153354-nation-leader-rule-addition/) which state that a minimum of a week's notice must be given, and that you can refuse and go into open rebellion.

Where's the ******* consistency? Why do GMs go against the established rules to prevent some coups, and then go against them to allow others? What Arteh did is explicitly against the rules and amounted to just being a region snipe, yet it's allowed. When the Felsen Watch did a far and away more legitimate coup, the GMs did the then unprecedented act of removing a region owner to prevent it.

There's hardly any. My Haelunor Coup resulted in Nationalists seizing the state even though I had already RPly seized the entire city with the Imperial and Dominion forces.
