It'll kill nation rp everyone well it's not that bad of a thing would be in the tavern trying to recruit new players or just sit and wait for someone to bandit.

this was because, the nations were to spread out and cancer. What happened is that there were tons of newbies who didn't know good rp at first (what a tavern would probably introduce them too) and then would walk out and be like 'lol no you guys are cancer' and walk back or be cancer out side of the area.

Okay. I don't know much about this topic, I wasn't there in Athera and the red rose tavern and all of that. I'll try to think what it can turn out to be like, though.

 

If you do make a tavern, make it player-managed. Get a player you know is a responsible and good RPer, that is capable of withstanding the 'stress' of managing a tavern. Get him to get bartenders who are also good RPers. Because while I enjoy tavern RP quite alot, if the bartender's RP isn't good it can be ruined.

 

Another thing is for it to not be in the cloud temple. Make spawn =/= the CT. Make it a general place where all cultures can be sort of together, but casual fights can occur. Hopefully it won't turn into a warzone.

I voted no for a spawn tavern, or any other spawn roleplay function - because it detracts from the work of settlements to achieve often the same means - people will chill in spawn because it's more convenient, they are safe and the exposure to new players is the highest it gets. I suppose having a restored CT would be a nice project to get going.

Are you people actually redacted? What do you mean should coders and admins focus on more important things? Are you aware that there are different teams/departments in any business or organization like this that do different things? That the entire staff does not, nor can they and nor should they focus on one thing? Given that a tavern will have little to no coding involved (nothing extra anyway I don't think) what makes you people think this'll take away from other things that have priority?

 

Seriously.

Tavern would be great in spawn as well as a bounty board and stuff. Make the tavern super easy to navigate to, in fact perhaps everyone should spawn in the tavern to begin with, in a room or something like that. As if they just arrived in the night to this new land or were found or something and wake up there.

 

To people who think that a spawn tavern will take away from other RP elsewhere, I believe you're incorrect. In spawn areas you can't really do much in the means of conflict. If anything, a tavern area is a place for people to hang out and actually help and engage new players that come through. Show them the ropes, help them with some basic RP stuff and then maybe take them on a little adventure to get to where they need to go.

 

It would be a fantastic way to introduce new players to the server, so long as there are people at the tavern most times. Perhaps have it partially player run and partially staff run. Make a Tavern Bar staff mentors. Pay them in mina even, players or actual staff. It doesn't really matter to me. Have their usernames on the wall in easy to spot places that say "If you want to RP try contacting some of these people who may be available to come RP with you!"

 

I for one wouldn't mind doing something like that, mina or no. Sometimes you just can't find RP or are kind of afk hoping someone PM's you to do something. So that'd be a pretty cool thing to implement. They can be just normal tavern goers and/or tavern workers that are on the PM list.

 

I think this would be a super fantastic idea and I am in 100% support of it.
