Madness had it’s day. The 10th of the First Seed, 1607, a friend had sought to kill his queen, after swearing sacred vows of fealty before GOD, in a chapel, and had it not been for a timely intervention from Mardon, Haense, and various loyalists to the Queen of Lotharingia, Lord de Anjou would have spilt blood on sacred ground. There can be no forgiveness for such an atrocity, and after securing the Queen’s safety, the treacherous knaves of de Anjou and the False King stormed the gate, they were set upon by a warhost of brave soldiers. A decisive victory is what some would call it.

Blood ran red in the lanes of Ostwick, axes fell and swords rent holes in the flesh of the d’Amuary loyalists, their corpses stacked high and the heads decorated the walls of Ostwick, a testament to the might arrayed before them, of the doom to come for them. Madness indeed had it’s day, but it was brave heroes such as the Lord Marshal, Arthur Jrent, and the grizzled Knight, Ser Bruce Hornigold who inspired the men to victory.

Blood would come for the d’Amuary lechers, and the armies of the Dragon and the Crow would ensure peace was brought to the land, by any means necessary.

"The last time the Horen's contested the d'Amaury legitimacy as the masters of Lorraine, they did so with a much greater man, who lead a much larger state, and a much more powerful army." Odo would scoff. "Johannesburg's frozen corpse stands as a monument to what such treacherous men receive. They stand no chance; this 'Queen' and her inviting these madmen into her and Lorraine's bosom does not make a man a King."

You're trying to say the d'Amaury alone blew up johannesburg? Seriously?" says Galahad

"Neither does turning up to her palace on the pretense you'll be swearing fealty only to turn and attack and try to occupy the palace." says Felix Fitch.

Queen Anna of Lotharingia would catch wind of this man's opinion, simply saying, "We're not making a man King...'

Anna Sophia would sit with her brother in the throne room of Ostwick, giving a sigh. "My motive was for progress and peace. It would seem House de Anjou's only wish is to put a crown on their own head." The queen and her sibling would look to their father's greatsword mounted above the hearth, recalling easier days of childhood merriment.

Arthur Jrent, the Marshal of the Mardenic forces that had played such a decisive role in the defense of the Pruvian keep would be seen trotting through Lorraine lands towards Mardon, marching a platoon of recently battle-tested Mardenic troops. Throughout the entire journey, the image of that same man could be seen flashing through the Marshal's mind, the image of Bruce Hornigold holding his blade high and inspiring the men, including the Marshal himself. Arthur couldn't help but smile.

. . .

"Send word to Wem." Commanded the Marshal to a courier back at Mardon. "Bruce Hornigold will have my own personal cavalry at his disposal if he so wills it. He is right when he says as he does. The time has come for madness to have had it's day. God's speed."

Wem receives Jrent's letter.

"A blade for Hornigold is a blade for freedom..." he mutters to himself upon reading.

Wilmot is puzzled by this, it seemed clear to him and the entire Lotharingian populace that she had no claim or any right to elevate to that position. Not to mention the black stain on house Horen for murdering Kings before!

Rotger hears of this from his bedchambers. "Two crippled nations born from the ashes of a crippled Empire are trying to use their crippled armies to overthrow a city-less nation... Or am I not understanding this correctly? And what happened to the d'Amauries, are they the usurpers? If they are, at what point did the d'Amauries lose the throne in the first place?"

The servant simply shrugs, not relaying the angry, bed-ridden man's rant out of the room.

The young King Philip sat back in his throne upon hearing the news of this battle "She called my father a friend, she was trusted by my brother. And in turn we were met with a spat in the face once she had everything she needed from us."
