Pureimp10 5691 Share Posted September 19, 2017 QUESTS FROM THE KING OF HANSETI-RUSKA HIS MAJESTY’S MANDATES Though general peace and prosperity have spread through the far northern reaches of the Kingdom, the realm still suffers from occasional attacks from petty bandit groups and rogue barbarians. In these trying times, when external conflicts rage between the other descendents, the internal stability of the Haensetian valley is of utmost paramount. With the Royal Army undergoing reforms, it has come to His Majesty’s attention that there is a need for bounty hunters or citizen militia to undertake certain quests for the betterment of the realm. It is with such in mind that His Majesty, the King Otto II of the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska has issued this list of quests for nobility, gentry, and commoner alike. Upon completion of the quest, the quest-taker should report to His Majesty, earning not only the honor of meeting the King himself, but a royal reward as well! Rewards shall vary depending on the difficulty of the quest, and the risk involved in the undertaking of the quest. May GOD be with you. I. BANDIT ATTACK IN THE ALEXANDRINE PASS II. BARBARIANS SPOTTED AT GRENDIN FIELDS III. BLOOD MAGES TAKING REFUGE IN THE ROTHSWOOD IV. BEAR TERRORIZING THE CITIZENS OF SCHONENBURG V. WITCHES SETTLING IN AYR VI. NECROMANCERS SPAWN UNDEAD HORDE ALONG SOUTHERN BORDER VII. GOBLINS STEALING FROM MARKETPLACE OUTSIDE ALBAN VIII. DEMONIAC WREAKS HAVOC IN THE CHAPEL IX. DISEASE OUTBREAK X. EVIL CLOWN LURKING IN THE ALLEY NEAR THE TAVERN BANDIT ATTACK IN THE ALEXANDRINE PASS A malicious syndicate of six or seven highwaymen, bandits who rob innocent passersby, has been attacking merchants and travellers passing through the pass of Metterden. His Majesty will duly reward those who clear out the pass and remove the bandit threat from the Northmarch. RECOMMENDED: Group of 3-4 people REWARD: RP Items and Minas BARBARIANS SPOTTED AT GRENDIN FIELDS Savage barbarians have been spotted making camp just beyond the Rothswood, in the Grendin fields. In recent weeks, these uninvited savages have continuously been preying on northern livestock and pillaging local farmers causing the food supply entering Alban to decrease significantly. His Majesty has imposed a writ of expulsion against these belligerents and shall duly reward those who accomplish this task. RECOMMENDED: Group of 5-6 people REWARD: RP Items and Minas BLOOD MAGES TAKING REFUGE IN THE ROTHSWOOD An eerie band of blood mages have been found lurking in the Rothswood practicing heretical sacrifices in the dark of night. Evidence of the carcasses of small animals have been spotted littered along the country roads. With great urgency, the Royal Administration requests a dispatch of men to confront the mages and eliminate the cultists swiftly. RECOMMENDED: Group of 3-5 people REWARD: RP Items and Minas BEAR TERRORIZING THE CITIZENS OF SCHONENBERG A wild northern bear has been reported by a multitude of bewildered fishermen in Schonenberg. The most recent incident was made apparent to the Royal Administration two days ago. With fishermen unable to fish in the ponds for fear of the ravaging beast, His Majesty has requested a force of able hunters to neutralize the threat. RECOMMENDED: Group of 4-5 people REWARD: RP Items and Minas WITCHES SETTLING IN AYR A pair of witches have been spotted near Ayr enchanting various animals and killing the crops with volatile potions brewing in their cauldrons. Pockets of these toxic concoctions have been seen discharged into the snow affecting the crops and livestock in the locality. His Majesty wills for the expulsion of these unwanted witches from continuing to vandalize the vicinity. RECOMMENDED: Group of 2-3 people REWARD: RP Items and Minas NECROMANCERS SPAWN UNDEAD HORDE ALONG SOUTHERN BORDER A triad of necromancers have been reported by passing migrants just beyond the southern Greyspine pass making traversing the region unsafe. Their latest horde of undead subjects have killed three merchants traveling along the roads. It has come to the attention of His Majesty that the necromancers have posed a potent threat to the safety and security of the Highlanders. Therefore, he wills the courageous men of the North to quell this crisis at hand. RECOMMENDED: Group of 6-8 people REWARD: RP Items and Minas GOBLINS STEALING FROM MARKETPLACE OUTSIDE ALBAN A mischievous gang of goblins have been conning merchants for the last week, stealing wares and goods from their stalls. Following these robberies and scams, merchants have inundated the square seeking retribution for their stolen merchandise. The Royal Administration shall reward those who take up arms and disperse the goblins from their petty theft. RECOMMENDED: Group of 2-4 people REWARD: RP Items and Minas DEMONIAC WREAKS HAVOC IN CHAPEL Parishioners are terrified by a man who is believed to be possessed by dark magic is seen lingering inside the chapel speaking in a daemon-like voice, vandalizing the statues and icons inside. Local parishioners have barricaded the doors on the outside awaiting for armed assistance to subdue the demoniac. His Majesty wishes to enlist soldiers and local volunteers to contain the man characterized by violent mannerisms. RECOMMENDED: Group 3-4 people including a priest REWARD: RP Items, Minas, and an Apostolic Blessing from the High Pontiff DISEASE OUTBREAK A small case was reported by townspeople in Schonenberg with symptoms unknown and mysterious. Several mothers have reported their children being struck with the disease prompting violent coughs and dark sores on the skin. Weeks later, a recipe was discovered on the shelves of the kitchen in Esenstadt by a cook indicating a cure. However, the herbs necessary to concoct the antidote are hoarded by a rogue druid taking refuge in Rothswood. His Majesty has ordered a dispatch to seek the druid and take garner the ingredients by force. RECOMMENDED: Group of 2-3 people REWARD: RP Items and Minas EVIL CLOWN LURKING IN THE ALLEY NEAR THE TAVERN On select nights, children have been disappearing without any trace. A guardsmen on his regular patrol rounds was able to spot a malicious silhouette in the shadows who appeared with a paint-like mask covering his face. After surviving a nearly fatal encounter, the scarred guardsman pleaded at court to send men to hunt down this predator.
