Statement to the High Pontiff

I would urge the High Pontiff to reconsider and move away from temporal affairs and warn that the Church is a Spiritual body only, the last time the Church interfered in secular affairs was during the time of John Darfy, the High Pontiff predecessors have worked tirelessly to wipe that mark away from its history and by these actions if they are not withdrawn, and the Church declares neutrality in secular affairs then the High Pontiff is destroying what others have tirelessly worked to preserve.

Statement to the Realm

We had said We has't in one hand the laurel of peace, prosperity, mercy, and dignity and held in mine other the sword of wrath, ruthlessness, ruin, and death. Let it be known that we have dropped the Laurel of peace for they who we wished to give it to have decided to trudge towards the path of the sword.

Let it be known that this so-called Regency merely holds a meager amount of territory; it is a mere city-state Oren is not a Nation. Renatus holds most of the former Orenain lands.

Now let us come to these false claims, Murder of an Emperor? Who was this Emperor you speak of? I only know Peter II Sigismund the so-called John VI, was a usurper nothing more, Peter II never abdicated his throne, John VI was unlawfully crowned. Furthermore, the Emperor Peter II lives this so-called regency has no authority or legitimacy. If the Emperor Peter II did not live, then a remaining son of his would be Emperor would he not? Why is there a Regency instead of a coronation? It is all rather simple this is a cowardly attempt to take power in Oren by Frederick the inept.

As for the accusation that clergymen were harmed by us as is evident since the High Pontiff is alive and well and seems to be signing papers. If I wished to harm clergy, he would have been killed after the battle, but he was helped and allowed travel to Metz unharmed and with his dignity for he is the High Pontiff and a man of the cloth he carries no sword.

As for the Order of Saint Lucian, did we attack them? Nay, they tried to ambush us, it did them no good and they paid with their blood it is all rather simple. Furthermore, soldiers and knights that serve the church are not men of the cloth they simply do not count. Even if they did they would forfeit their rights if they involved themselves in temporal matters.

The rest of the accusations are made by perfumed bureaucrats that do not know the difference between murder and execution nor the ways of Warrior Kings.

Furthermore, we at this moment state plainly, that Frederick Marna is a mere worm, that feeds on the rotting corpse of Oren, nothing more and nothing less he is a sniveling, perfumed, cowardly courtier. Unfit and unworthy to hold the name of Horen even.

"What? Nobody tried to ambush you, they were their to guard the High Pontiff just as the reiters were there to guard you. You attacked us after an oath of non-violence." says Felix Fitch

Berenfroy recalls the Pontiff's retinue attempting to isolate and pick off Renatian men who had merely followed them out past the portcullis out of curiosity. "Hmm."

"Secular heads of state who meddle with the Church for fun do sure love to cry bloody murder when the Pontiff dares to take a stance against regicide in God's empire." says Reinald

Felix recalls the Renatian men siezing Frederick despite oaths of no violence or conflict, then attacking his men and the High pontiffs protectors when they fell back to a strategic position, to which they lost when the Renatian men barged they way past the portcullis.

"What large amount of lands do you hold, Lord Canonius? - Also to address your other statement; Let us not forget that Peter II abruptly disappeared without a single word or letter to anyone. The Closed Council decided to have John succeed his presumed dead father, 'till his death John was supported by a closely knit council and advisers to assist in the young sovereigns rule" argues Owein in his bed, heavily injured by the usurpers mercenaries

"This is not true." Counters the boys first Arch-chancellor "The council was foull of fools and schemers, and with the lack of direction from the 'Emperor' the country was doomed to ruin."

A young priest sits by the cathedral organ in Metz. He sighs, putting the letter down, and mutters a prayer, before murmuring to himself. "I may only be thirteen, but... I know the His Holiness is fair and just, and goodhearted... why try to intimidate him like this?" Arthur frowns. "Doesn't seem very canonist to me..."
