Quite literally all of this.

People come here to RP, keep things in RP. People fight enough with one another over that alone.

Moment you bring IRL stuff into it however, especially controversial IRL stuff, is when **** really hits the fan and it doesn't really have a place here.

You've now called unnessescary attention to yourself within a community that thrives on toxic behaviour in part, if you want my two cents, stop making threads like this, stop posting those weird outdated memes.

 

Everyone has their own particular brand of doo-doo on this server and everyone receives a particular brand of doo-doo, yours is however more politicised in the real world and me being called Acuck20 however is not. I believe you have gotten yourself in a victimhood mindset where you think everyone's out to get you, we're not, at the very least I am not. I just log on here to rp and have fun, if you are a good roleplayer nobody will really care about who or what you are OOC, but if you make threads to shame other players for their behaviour outside of a direct ban report in terms of you having been directly discriminated against, only reflects poorly on yourself. Everyone gets picked on for something here, noone can escape it and that's a simple fact of playing on this server.

 

And also I'd like to add that maybe you should take a break from LoTC to sort yourself out OOC, calm yourself down and find yourself stronger to face the trolls that invevitably will make their way out of their caves to try to bait you. Have a cup of tea, watch Netflix, take a jog, eat something, drink something or rest, whatever it takes for you to feel better.

if you're taking a serious amount of offense to what's being said, then just walk away. discord has the option to deactivate your account, leave discord groups, and block people. if you're getting harassed on lotc then there is an option to log off of the server. you're not being forced to stay.

 

don't use lotc as an escape, seriously. don't let yourself grow too attached to the server and depend on it for some sort of happiness you may not find irl. if anything it'll make you feel so much worse if something happens to you here and you expected everything to be all sunshine and rainbows, which is what seems to be happening right now.

 

and just remember it's all online and chances are you will never meet a single one of these people irl. so who cares about what they have to say now

If you feel people are personally attacking you, then take screenshots and toss them in to the GM team. We're here for a reason, after all. We're not omnipresent. It's hard to take action when we're not aware of situations.

 

That being said, if these attacks aren't against you personally, then just leave the source that's sending you bad vibes. Whether that be, as others suggested, leaving OOC, leaving Discord chats, etc.

 

Life's life, and it's full of unpleasant things. Fortunately, most of the time you can just choose to ignore unnecessary hate and belittling. But the moment you respond to it, or take it to heart, you're only hurting yourself.

No, I getchu. That's why I said I was doing those exact things (turning off Global OOC and muting the Discord chats that have been problematic for me) in my post. I'm taking the steps to avoid the bad juju already. 

And, also like I said, I know I can't change anyone but myself in the end, even if I make suggestions they have to be constructive and not emotional 'wah poor me u all suck' in the manner I did so previously.

 

...Not that I'm honestly going to make any suggestions for a while. I learned my lesson.

lotc is filled with a bunch of edgy hormonal teens, not sure what you expected out of it. also no matter what you do in some way or form, someone is going to disagree with you and **** in your cereal, its just part of life and every day slurs become closer and closer in a persons insult vocab.

The issue is that if you leave looc people might have troubles sending OOC information vital to a roleplay. Although I guess they could just use PMs for that
