Paleo 298 Share Posted April 21, 2018 In fact, a Mina, according to the dictionary is a varying unit of weight and money used in ancient Greece, Egypt etc. generally equivalent to talent, 100 drachmas or 50 shekels. It comes from Classical Latin so the correct plural of Mina would be Minae. But since contemporary English speakers like to make stuff sound more English Minas would also be accepted. I am Minae all the way.

It's like how the plural for Octopus is actually Octopuses and why it isn't Octopi.

thesaintjaleel 792 Share Posted April 21, 2018 It's actually supposed to be "Minae or die." but people misinterpret when bandits say it wrong, we have to remember that most bandits are illiterates...
