The Dominion Insider Vol. Three

Written by Alice Alice Addertounge

The Dominion Insider is a non-for profit newspaper which covers news and gossip in and around the Dominion, that haven't been made clear to the public eye yet.

Virriam Against Healing, Blight Against the Body?

Virriam Aravae publicly announced that all magical healing, such as Druidic, Clerical, and Ascended, is not natural in her point of view. She then refused to seek treatment for unknown wounds and was marched off to the barracks. In those words, it makes one such as myself question the choices of the guards. As when wounded, I would want a healer! Whatever the reason for such, is not my choice.

Speaking Of Virram...

The Virriam do an afternoon drill on fighting wraiths. Many were in attendance watching. While the drill was taking place, a human was arrested for stealing and had his thumb cut off.

Green Orcs, the New Threat?

Right after the man was punished, A random orc appears and tells the Virriam that Reiters have been by the gates. A Virriam goes to check and then comes back saying nobody’s there. While the Virriam are distracted by the arrest and one gone, the Orc starts chanting. The outcome was unknown. However afterwords the Clinic was flooded with Virriam officers.

"You best figure out how to correctly write the name. It's Virarim, not 'Virriam'" Retorts Cyrene from the Sutican Tavern.

"That is a whole lot of spelling errors."  Comments a Tharan, who was at all of this going on, narrowing his eyes at the pure amount of mispellings of 'Virarim'

The Azalea druid snickers to herself within the comfort of her home, the dark room illuminated by the pallets of soft hellish oranges from the blazing fire before her. The parchment within her hands whilst her son had concluded reading to her. "Whomever find themselves writing these false parchments of fake news needs to take a step back and open their eyes. Since when was an opinion such big news? If a person does not want to be healed by druidic or clerical magic then that is their choice, since when does such an outlook define their abilities to work on our guard force? This person needs to stop being a coward and publicizing their opinions anonymously. If you want to be taken so seriously, then step out of your damned shadows and show your face. If not, use your quill to pen more important missives and stop wasting everyone's time."

"I would gouge my eyes out and then heal them back, then gouge them again and heal them. Just for the spellings I'm seeing right now." An elder cleric comments.

"I see the Stolt Standard remains the foremost newspaper in the realm - and quite handily," comments Aelthir, brow creased as he attempts to decipher the barely legible tabloid.

A svelte cleric would stare in consternation at the paper in her home, "Ummm.. What's a virriam aravae? It doesn't sound like common /or/ elvish.." The woman sighs, giving up on trying to read the paper herself after several minutes of trying to figure out what the intent behind those two words was, going back to her breakfast.

"I pray to the Aspects that whoever writes this ceases publishing," states a bored Lyemar.

Delmira quietly reads the paper, before squinting at the first entry. After taking a few moments to decipher what was being said, she would begin to laugh,. Shaking her head, she turns to her partner- trying to explain between giggles.

"Look! This person.. How silly! I was the cleric there, and they didn't say that at all. They even refused my offer to heal with no use of my gifts, alchemy or anything of the sorts. How rude of someone to slander someones name. I'm sure the woman just didn't desire to be helped by others. Not everyone enjoys such owing someone something"

"I'm not sure how I received this, but I do hope I don't receive it again." remarks Aesilnoth, tossing the paper into his fireplace.

*a Mali'ker would yawn, leaving for a rest in the tavern of the Velunor discrict. As he got comfortable by the counter he'd notice the newspaper, picking it up to read the paragraph*

"Hmn...Virr..Vira.. Viraim? Viraem? Virawho?... Oh, I remember!" he'd chuckle

"Virarim, the guards who patrol the inner discrict!" as he continued to fly over the paper he'd simply fold the newspaper mumbling to himself
"Nothing new, I guess... they are as proud as ever..."
