July Monthly Update Log

The We are almost more fun update…

 

This month was more time consuming for team mechanic things than I had anticipated. So the project updates are going to be cut into half. This update will talk about the New Player Discord getting a makeover, the Tailor’s Guild expecting a makeover, the New Player Video being switched over, and to be expecting more projects to come soon!

New Player Discord has received a makeover! MickMeist did a wonderful job setting up channels and roles in there, I cannot thank him enough because I know if I tried I would break it. There are two new channels left to add, but all new channels added server a purpose to give us a cleaner and more help constructed discord. We felt much more like a lobby and hang out area rather than helpful and purposeful area previously. I am also passing the discord down out of my hands soley and into my managers. Please begin to ping @mickmeist if you have any questions geared towards New Player Discord or thoughts you wish to put into it! This was a project assigned to me when I was a manager so I am more than happy to pass it down to him or both my managers based on their choosing. While this is not a “project” anymore as it is a lifestyle we use day to day, I am proud of how this discord is working and I know that they will continue to make me proud with it no matter what they do.

 

The Tailor’s Guild was unfortunately something not obtainable to get to within makeovers this month. We invited 10 new members onto the team and training took up most of our time. This makeover is going to be and inside makeover so that we can be expected to run efficiently and have a communication system set for when we begin to have Tailor’s Guild Members begin to join they are all set and ready to go. We will announce more on this when our next update comes out. Thanks for being so patient with us as I know this has been a big pain to some of you.

 

 

The New Player Video was a script I had written, but now it is time for the media portions of this. This month Harold had stepped down as Admin and Media Director as he was going to help us with this. Torkoal is now going to be our media person for the team and this video. We are still looking for voice actors so if you are interested please contact @torkoaltom.

 

 

Projects are being discussed and proposed within the team as we have been working on these for a while and are all in the finishing stages, as well as my managers are itching for something more to do. Hopefully next month we will have a fresh pile of projects to update you on!

New Player Data

Let’s hop right into our New Player Data for this month! July is over already with the most applied for race being elves! Elves have won most applied for race by just the hair more at 40.8%, humans are second most applied for race at 38.1%, the dwarves are next in line at 8.1%, orcs following closely behind at 7.3%, halfling at 3.5%, and kharajyr at 2.3%. The most applied for subrace was none other than wood elves coming in at 26.4% of elven applications.

Now I must admit my prediction was wrong and a bit off, summer starts much earlier for some areas than I realized so we got the bulk of summer applications last month. We ended up getting less applications last month. We reached 475 applications total this month, which may sound bad to some because lower but our typical guest application that needs edits is 1-2 applications in itself, so we have done better in acceptances. Our acceptance rate hit 56.4% and our denied rate hit 43.6%. We are going to begin with the new graphs this month to start separating the data, but the separate data will be posted within the comments again. As for timezones 63.3% American, 31.8% European, and 4.9% Oceania players.

Member Alterations

We had a large roster change this month. @MickMeist has stepped up into the manager plate. Congratulations to him, I am very proud of the work he has done and the work he does. I am excited for him to continue his journey with us on the team and help the lead of the team. We also accepted 10 new members. Welcome aboard the Application Team Train: Skale, sophiaa, Demigryph, Ivoryyy_, Karimir, Keefy, tenredux, Top_Goon, ZachoSnacko, and Zombiefide. This month we also lost our member Chorale_. 

Team Data

This month was an incredibly crazy month as we were training so many new members and answering questions, I cannot thank the team enough for their cooperation with the hectic time. However things are finally settling down as we approach this new month. July’s King of Quota is a new but old face going to MadYeAd! Congratulations to MadYeAd, he was closely followed by Skale, who was then chased by Punisher, and ZachsSlayer.

Additional Information

With the New Player Discords update we are still missing Stewards and Nation Leader’s can you believe that? We need members from Warhaweks, Renatus-Marna, and so many more. Please join us at any time we would love to have you all. It has come to my attention recently we have 626 members in that discord, which is almost half of the Official Lord of the Craft Discord. New Player Video needs a voice actor still!!!! Tailor’s Guild is the same as before but makeover time! A Thank You

I cannot write this area of the update log without once again thanking MickMeist, this month our lovely Torkoal took a well deserved Hiatus and Mick stepped right up to the plate and helped every step of the way, he has been there for myself and the team in every which way and it is appreciated to the max. I want to thank Fireheart once again, fun fact Fireheart answers all of my frantic how do this command questions. I also wish to thank Flamboyant for stepping in and helping out the team. I also want to thank Pun for stepping up to the plate and helping out in training and Skale for being ready to do so if necessary. Incredibly proud of my team and it's members this month.
