Some stories have an ending. Some of them happen too soon.

Karren Mrysta could not handle it all anymore. He grew so tired and so emotionally unstable that he had decided to stop and do something that not even the Monks of Cloud Temple could do. He would take his own life and be whisked away to join his parents in the afterlife. Before he would commit the act, he had to write out a few things to some people that meant a lot to him in life. Each of these characters would receive these notices the following day.

Vanya Damaer:

This is the last you'll ever hear from me. I know I grew impure ever since I let my emotions get the better of me and I started loving the kha. I just want you to know that even if I turned impure in the end, you still have the future to look forward to. I hope you raise your child well and teach your child to not be like me. Myriil:

To Myriil,

Even in death, you have truly won. I grew too tired for the things I've become and the secrets I've had to hold for so long. You played your part in my endgame and now I release myself from your service by truly going mad and committing the ultimate act. I've let myself become too enthralled with the wishful thinking and the hopes of changing the world for the better and I've let myself become corrupted. Just no more. I give up.

Sometimes life has its light and dark turns. For me, my time came once I realized I could not let go of the past. Death has come for me and in this final time, I shall welcome it and lay in the dirt where not even the Prince would dare to disturb my eternal slumber. The sun will always shine the next day, but I want you to know that I immensely cared about you two as my friends, but I'm afraid that not even your friendship shall stall the Reaper from me and the coldness of death to overtake my body. At least I will be protected permanently from the Dark Arts....

After he took the time to write those out and send them off by courier, he wasted no time and quickly dispatching himself from his world, striking all of his vital organs, saving the heart and brain for last. Karren would fall to the ground as the blood pooled around his soon-to-be lifeless corpse and with that, the light in his eyes extinguished and he went stone cold dead for the final time...

OOC: Playing as this character got too complicated with all the backcorner secrets and various other things including keeping his mind more grounded than what was originally being done. Karren was fun to rp up until the point it got too depressing. Not to mention it became repetitive to rp as Karren constantly so I'll be PK'ing Karren and focus more on my alt char Kayen. Thanks you guys.

Sighard hears word of this "A pitty.... he could have been a great ally." he says with a faint sigh on his lips as he'd clench his fists for a moment cursing under his breath and turning to stroll off "I wonder who will claim his Soul?" he says with a shrug as he began to walk along the road towards Markev with a disapointed look "I kind of enjoyed him too... he gave me free things.." he'd state to himself as he walks off.

Lythorien didn't know where his new Ranger recruit went, nor what happened to him, but he'd be worried after his safety, and a bit sad to see a fellow elf of similar persuasions vanish before they could truly get to know one another. He'd first go to Haelun'or to seek information, then the Dominon.

 

The other Virarim would inform Lythorien of Karren's fate, and Ranger-Master Lythorien Banebow, truly sickened that he'd not seen the pain in Karren and was unable to help him, would return to the rest of the Rangers of the Wild with the sad news.

 

A dark day, indeed.

Elvira would read the letter and she frowns softly, going to make her way to her small altar. There, she would light a candle in memory to Karren, muttering a few gentle words in Flexio. She only knew him for a short while but he was certainly a soul that flared brightly with confidence.

 

"May your soul be at peace within Aeriel's grand city of Sacellum, my friend."

Melkor let out a sigh as he read the letter, then holding it when he finished and placing it in his pocket so he could later throw it into his fire place when he arrived back home. "Pity." He lets out a chuckle and continues on with his day.

"Hm." Hummed the Praetor to himself. He looked over the missive once more, before putting it into a chest of many others. He then took out a Virarim roster page, then moving to a desk drawer, looking among the stamps and labels until his gaze rested on "Non-Battle Casualty." He took the stamp, and with an ink pad, he marked 'NBC' on the roster.

Update: This is being made into a two-parter. "Stasis Lock" is part one and the second part will be written up soon. There will be a reason as to why I'm undoing the cliffhanged PK so if your a forum mod, please do not hide this post, but merely lock this post so that no one can reply to this post.
