Drivewriter Annoucement and Guide

Hi folks, Seventh here, Though Today I’m not here for World Dev but to announce and explain my latest plugin Drivewriter. Its functionality is pretty simple it allows you to take google docs and with just a few steps turn them into a mcbook. Gone are the days of copy-pasting every single page in. It’s not a perfect plugin though and that’s why a few ground rules should be laid out before using it.

 

1, Remove all formatting,

For the most part, Drivewriter will just skip over unusual formatting and try to make everything one string but it can help a lot for a better mc book. I recommend just making a copy of your document and then removing the formatting from that.

 

2, No more than 8-10 pages on google docs.

It depends on your font and other such stylings but MC books can still only hold 50 pages of text and while drivewriter will take any document you give it and try to paste it in. If the doc is too long it will simply get cut off.

 

Now on to actually using it!

 

Step 1, Pick a Google Doc you wish to use

 

Step 2, Go to File

 

Step 3, In the file menu, Select ‘publish to the web’

 

Step 4, Click the publish button and copy the link it provides you

 

Step 5, Go in game and get a Book and Quill

 

Step 6, Hold the book in your hand and type /dw or /drivewriter add a space and then paste your link in and hit enter

 

Step 7, Verify it pasted in how you’d like it to and adjust and retry again as needed.

 

The plugin isn’t perfect so if you find any bugs feel free to report em below. I’d be exceptionally surprised if I found them all.
