so b/c snow elves aren't a dnd or tolkienesque ripoff, they serve no purpose? hm interesting

Just going off of lore, High Elves and Snow Elves are extremely similar in purpose, don't you think?

I'd say that's fairly ignorant, seeing as the only thing they have in common is white skin. Their statures/builds are entirely different, and their cultures are nothing alike.

I didn't say they were alike at all, just that their purpose was similar. Both serve different niches, but the weight of their lore is the same.

Just melt with Snelves and create High Snow Elves.

Now being serious i would really like to rp with your playerbase but whenever i have gone to the silver city it was always empty besides some times when the Celestials were active.

I'd say the Snelves and Helves can both compare to the Grey Elves of Dungeons and Dragons. Perhaps you ought to start ripping off the D&D Grey Elves instead of anything from LOTR. I have an add-on book for 2nd edition Elves if you need any ideas.

1.) A settlement that is built slowly to match the needs and numbers of the new community. Keep things simple. Let people experiment with their homes more. One of my favorite moments of Asulon was getting to fully build and customize my Normandor home.

2.) Stop relying on old members to lead. You can still look to them for feedback and stored info.

3.) Rally behind a new idea. There have always been a myriad of different ideals & where to go with helves. They have been isolationists. Purity mongerers. Even conquerers. What if they go back to their roots?

3a.) The elven blessing is that forests are their haven so a new helf culture based on intertwining with nature could be more fresh. Build more trees, gardens, natural things. Revel in the beauty of how perfect and pure you can make nature. Nature is purity.

4.) Vote on the RP you liked and what you didn’t.

5.) In athera helves were kicked off their plot. They regouped. They can do it again if you find players and a leader who is good at blowjng the rally horn.

Honestly think your culture is too intimidating and alienates new (to the server and to High Elven) players, and then everyone else has taken you as a joke on the server for a long while. You're gonna need to rebrand in my opinion.

Thats not a good idea, people would just visit the city for the events and not grow attached to the city nor culture, and in the moment that you stop doing events they will stop going there.

Lemme preface by pointing out that it is Leowarrior, your traditional antichrist and eternal nemesis to Connor saying this

My advice to you is that what people outside your playerbase says do not matter. You're under no obligation to please them. You do what you think is best for your playerbase. If that means joining a larger settlement, do it. If that means starting anew in some smaller freebuild plot, do it.

I think making this thread was a mistake, because ultimately, nothing anyone thinks outside of your group matters. Since it will be your group making a decision on what works best for them and what brings them the most enjoyment.

The high elves do indeed hold a fairly unique cultural RP niche in this server, and have for years. Their RP is quite different from the RP of other elves. It would be a shame for it to dissapear after so many years. I think you guys should do what you gotta do to ensure it survives, and ultimately how you do it is up to you, and no outside entity should dictate how you choose to do it.

You need to integrate into the Dominion because the cultural dynamic you can add will make for interesting and progressive RP all around.

I don't think you necessarily need to change your culture, but where you're situated to get the most from it.

Yeah no, you want your playerbase to grow, so maybe consider do thinking about what other players think about you, instead of ignoring critical feedback, and doing things to attract players as well as fresh meat... I mean new players.
