The Prince of Alders Kairn Ithelanen and his Warden of the Avchirran Kaz Ithelanen, c. 1688

IT WAS IN OLD GLADEWYNN that we had first seen the decadence of Old Malinor; that which by the flame burned the elder trees to ash. We had witnessed the staunch arrogance and corruption of elves who had grown far too comfortable. Thus, our fabled departure.

Centuries past and all years forward we now yet witness it for the second time. We of Gladewynn take note of the stirring chaos beneath the now rotting husk of the Dominion. In this state connives usurpers and claimants, aspiring to undermine the stability We have wrought. In a plight known to many, they seek to tear asunder the delicate fabric of Elvenkind and plunge chaos betwixt the nascent elven states.

Those of the Dominion will not lay claim to the titles of our own Seeds. Those of the Dominion will not rise in support to usurpers and false pretenders; the Seven Songs of Gladewynn rise in anger, and We are not pleased. Your plots are known: the festering rot will burn before it makes a nest.

For the strength the Dominion had once held, it is all now faded. The power and those who rose it now bear tongue and sword to Gladewynn. Let it be known,

  • The Dominion will renounce any support, formal or informal, to the Caerme’onn claimant.
  • The Dominion will cease meddling in Gladewynn affairs, to stay their tongues in perpetuity.
  • The Dominion will expel those who seek to sow discord between the two elven states, by the claim of blood or any other means.

This is not a request.

His Lordship the Prince of Alders, Kairn Ithelanen; Crownbearer of Elvenesse and Sovereign Lord of the Barrowlands, the Elysian Realms, Free Company of Gladewynn and its constituents. True Shepherd of the Elder Blood; Harbinger of the Ichorian Way, Bronze Lord of Leyulin.

With the assistance of Scribe Brutus Caerme’onn, Practitioner of Law and Adherent of the Ichorian Rite.

Miklaeil let of a long and drawn out sigh as he read, one hand lifting up to rub his eyebrows with a thumb and index finger, “Oh wonderful..” His lips parted as if to break into a monologue of unpleasant speech mixed with huffed noises of annoyance, though he stopped himself and simply pinched the bridge of his nose, “Just a little longer, Mik... just a little longer.”

“To see all that is transpiring. To do such dishonor and disgrace within the Ancient Seeds of elven ancestors and from one that denounced his own Seed as well as turned his back on it for several centuries. The dead should indeed, remain dead.” The Elder Druid would speak, giving a shake of her head at what all has been occurring. The serenity of her facial features remaining yet it was clear the Owl Druid agreed with those of Leatherback and Hawk of how disgraceful this proclaimed act has been.

“This ultimatum is supported by the founder and first chieftain of the Caerme’onn, of whose right it was to choose who would succeed him as chieftain. Aelin Caerme’onn was chosen, not Toren. Aelin was fully within her right to move the Seed to Glaedwynn. That was her choice, and as the chieftaness, I shall respect that decision despite my lack of sole allegiance to either Aspectist state. That Toren Camoryn would declare himself chieftain and create a schism within the seed is the highest order of treason and disrespect.

Forgiveness will be given if Toren Camoryn renounces his claim to chieftainship, and this must also be recognized by those who follow him. He and his branch of Caerme’onn may live in the Dominion of Malin in peace, as long as they recognize Aelin Caerme’onn as the rightful chieftain of their seed, and come to her side when called upon by her.

Toren Camoryn, I call upon you to approach your rightful chieftain with one offering of tribute to Aelin Caerme’onn to offer your fealty, and one offer of tribute that will be given to the Aspects. You will bow before her and acknowledge her as your chief and the keeper of your tribe.

If you do this, you will be allowed to live in peace within the Dominion. If you fail to do so, you will face dire consequences.”

Answer wisely,

Oracle, Hawk Druid, Elder

Artimec Caerme’onn.

This ultimatum was written in Artimec’s recognizable hand, and inked with a seal depicting a stag’s horns, blood red.

Thorvn just sat there, chewing on a sandwich in the meanwhile, oblivious with his visor hiding the majority of his face minus enough of a pathway to eat. He’d cheer on the golem chef later, indeed for this was a good meal.

Spoiler

“Still one to lace their words with irony...Ha.” Spoke the Willow Druid under the light of a candle, sat at a desk in the more humid confines of the Sparrow Grove. There he listened to the songs of crickets and choir of frogs to ease his tension. The crack of his neck resounds down the winding tunnels, startling the once-yellow bird of paradise he was currently cleaning of ash. “Ah, apologies Yellow.” However, the bird returns this favor in spades when he blares into the elf’s ear. To which he can only give a sheepish smile and sigh. “I’m uncertain as to what kind of sorcery compels this doppelganger Toren, nor do I wish to see elven bloodshed over the words of a damned dead man. Karnath knows how similar circumstance last developed... blasphemous madness all of it. Gives me conniptions.”

“The Dominion isn’t involved in this, besides I concede to Artimec.”

Toren says simply, walking off.

Genuinely disappointed in the messages thrown at me. If role-play makes you so upset to the point that you think it is acceptable to treat someone else like less than a human, then get the **** off this server.

((If a member of our player base did this, I would like it if you could add me on Discord and talk about it (Treshure#1981). We we’ve put out community guidelines, and we take keeping things RP seriously. Would like to sort this person out. Thanks man.))
