A Failing Kingdom

A FAILING KINGDOM.

Curon is a failing kingdom.

When I walk its streets, I barely see another soul.

My homeland is now run by a crooked Lord-Regent and his councillors are in revolt against the great Orenian Empire!

Deception is at the heart of Curonia.

Curon betrayed Haense during the first Czena conflict, back on Atlas.

Curon betrayed Renatus during the first coalition war, back on Atlas.

Curon betrayed the Renatians during the first few years of the War of the Two Emperors to side with Holy Orenian Emperor Joseph de Marna.

Curon betrayed the empire of Joseph de Marna, in the same conflict and sided with Renatus!

And now, once more Curon continues its path of betrayal by siding with the aggressors of Morsgrad.

Angelo and his councillors, end this cycle of betrayal.

This cycle of betrayal is tired and old and must be put aside, once and for all.

But knowing Curonia, that may never happen.

I pen this letter to all Curonians, my family, the Rutledges and whoever is left of the Curonian people.

I write this letter to my homeland from the thriving City of Helena, and I renounce the rebellious actions of Angelo de Alba and his council of crooks.

Curon deserves better than this, and all of Arcas does as well.

The hassle of the war is not worth it, this cycle is not worth it.

I have been a critic of how the Orenian Empire functions, it is one of bureaucracy, but rather than taking a blade in revolt against this mighty empire, I have realised, and hopefully any Curonian on the side of the accursed Angelo that we, as the noble race of mankind are truly together we strive as a united humanity.

Mankind is strong when united, and it is weak when divided.

Do not let foolish ideas, such as rebellion get in the way of prosperity.

Together, we thrive.

Ave Orenia.

Ave Peter III.

-WITH LOVE...

Vivaca Adhara Rutledge.

Spoiler

I used to rule the world
Chunks would load when I gave the word
Now every night I go stow away
Hide from the mobs I used to slay

They once were terrified
Every time I looked into their eyes
Villagers would cheer my way
For a hero I was, that's what they'd say

One minute we had it all
Next our world began to fall
Away from all that it had once become
They all cried for my help, but I stood there numb

I gaze off into the boundless skyline
Noteblock choirs playing in the sunshine
Turn 'round pick up my sword and wield
The blade that once forced evil mobs to yield
And hope one day that this chaos and
Destruction turns for the better
Never a bow in hand
That was when I ruled the land

It was the creepers and Skeletons
Blew down the doors and boxed us in
Arrows whizzing by like streaks of light
I tried all that I could to stay and fight

As the undead roamed the street
Families broken at my feet
Life itself suspended by a thread
Oh, why is it that I wasn't dead

I gaze off into the boundless skyline
Noteblock choirs playing in the sunshine
Turn 'round pick up my sword and wield
The blade that once forced evil mobs to yield
If this battle should leave me slain
I know that Herobrine will call my name
Better to take a stand
That was when I ruled the land

I gaze off into the boundless skyline
Noteblock choirs playing in the sunshine
Turn 'round pick up my sword and wield
The blade that once forced evil mobs to yield
If this battle should leave me slain
I know that Herobrine will call my name
Better to take a stand
That was when I ruled the land

Farley glanced around the square for the soldiers of Curon, alas he found none.

Matthias Rutledge would panick at the missive, holding his damp face. "Oh lord, please go easy on her. Please- please, she's only 19-" The old man cried loudly from his study, though it was muffled by his hands and the house walls

"She's the only child of mine that actually looks like me!" The man cried and for once, prayed to the Canonist God until he lost his voice, and thus stayed home the next day.

“For all the grief humanity once gave the Ascended, I wonder how they might feel knowing that the regent of Curon is one himself, a slave to an immortal false deity. Pagans support pagans, I suppose,” Sofya would remark.

She’d later decide to go settlement to settlement, relaying this information.

Saoirse would issue a saddened sigh as she read the letter, staring at it as though it were a thousand yards away. ”’ow saddenin’.” She remarked with a gloomy tone.
