Legoboy7984 2448 Popular Post Share Posted January 23, 2022 Folly of the Ferrymen “Ask not for whom the bell tolls, the bell tolls for the Ferrymen.” The Ferrymen, who once shared in our triumph against the usurper Phillip III, were regarded among the dwarves as equals. They were offered great wealth for their services, and were trusted by the throngs of the Grand Kingdom. But these vagrants showed their true colors. One stone day ago, a raiding force of bloodthirsty Ferrymen burst into the city of Kal’Darakaan, disrupting a sacred festival dedicated to Armakak, the Merchant Father. While the innocent dwarves were gathered in worship and celebration, the rapacious Ferrymen attacked. There, they demanded that Grand King Ulfric Frostbeard yield to their demands and give them sole control of the Stone Tower, or else they would slaughter and loot the attendants of the festival. The Dwarves of Urguan, however, stood firm! Though only lightly armed, and without proper armor, the Dwarven people fought back against the savages. Thanks to the brave actions of Celeste’Tol Blackroot, who shut the city gates and alerted the Legion before the Ferrymen could escape, the barbarians soon found themselves trapped. Alerted to the danger, Grand Marshal Agnar Ireheart, Grand Champion Kronk Stormheart, and Longbeard Levian’Tol Grandaxe rallied the forces of the Grand Kingdom, both dwarven legionnaires and soldiers of our proud vassals. Together they engulfed the traitorous Ferrymen and put every last one of them to the sword. Ninety of the Ferrymen’s best warriors entered the cavernous city of Kal’Darkaan. Not a single one saw light again. Over a hundred and forty of Urguan’s warriors answered the battle cry. Not a single one fell.
