WE HAVE FOUND OUR PEACE

The Holy Orenian Empire, after years of fruitless peace negotiations, issued an ultimatum to the Petty Kingdom of Urguan and their Haenseni allies. Time for that ultimatum passed, and as a result, the renewed offensive was pressed. It would appear that this Empire entered these negotiations with serious intentions to end the conflict but has been met with ignorant delaying tactics coupled with the flagrant wishes of the man in the mountain to continue this vain conflict against The Holy Orenian Empire.

They, above all, knew that if they pursued this course of action, they would find themselves on the receiving end of total war. For the preservation of life, we urged that the Urguani government accept our most gracious and fair peace offering to avoid this further bloodshed - a war of reckoning spurred by the blunders of the former Tsar of Urguan and his ruling elite. They deigned to try and stuff their coffers full of ill-begotten gains, wealth, and property taken at the cost of dwarven lives. To this end, they seek no peace. Ten times we offered, and ten times we found an unwilling multitude of pagans and race-traitors.

As we Men go to God when we die and join him in the Seven Skies, we could fight on for countless years if it was required of us, our sons and our sons’ sons taking our place once we join our venerable Creator above. The toil of Man knows no bounds. We shall surmount every peak and valley if it means avenging those taken too soon by the blight of your Piasts and their desecration of the conventions of war.

It is entirely false that the Haenseni now clutch their pearls at imperial aggression when this is still the war they began for the total conquest of our lands. And now, in these years, the King of Haense cannot make peace without the sanction of a pagan power? How low have the Haenseni fell to in one hour worship God and the next carouse with dwarves over the death of his fellow man. Seek peace, wayward brother, or persist in your errors.

Should you still wish to seek terms, we implore you to do so. We have found our peace. We are at peace in knowing that we have offered you peace and you have rebuffed all ten of our proposals. Do not ask if this is our peace, ask if this war is your doing?

"We had your Empress as guest in our land and we discussed peace and harmed not a hair on her head.

When we travelled to your land as guests, you slaughtered women and children who had come to spectate.

It is us that doesn't want peace?

Go home Orenian soldiers, go on home."

sang Siggy.

The Duke of Azor carefully ran a hand over the plethora of missives, thousands of innocents killed at the hands of the Urguani and their faithless allies masquerading behind faith itself. "GOD will punish these heathens in the afterlife, It is only us who can assist them along to that end. We will succeed, we have to... Every chance given, every hand in friendship swatted away, every attempt we put forth scoffed and laughed at." The mans gaze grew narrow as he looked out across Eastfleet to the objective at hand. "And we shall see how they laugh when we put an end to their charade."

The Prince of Providence would strip off the rest of his bandages from his chest and the right side of his face as would move to take his blade to hand. "I am of proper body once again -- We allowed for peace and now that they refuse it we shall be prepared to take the fields once more!"

Ivan var Ruthern pondered over these words. "It grieves me to raise arms against my kin- and I shall niet do so with enthusiasm but solemnness. The Dwarves on the other hand.." He remarked as he left the Palace of Karosgrad after long talks with the Grand Prince of Kusoraev.

"Barley, Barley, get on in here!" Moliana cried out to her ward, summoning him to her workshop.  "I have a task for you, a special material that I request you go fetch.  I think its powerful qualities shall prove useful for my pursuits of science!"

Without waiting for her ward to respond, she proceeded on: "I wish for you to nab a shoe of an Imperial leader, we must see what its comprised of.  Surely SOMETHING powerful, given that whoever licks these boots forgets so easily of the great sins and atrocities of the Imperial Throne."

"These bastards are illiterate. They could at least spell Haeseni right." Annie circles all the uses of the word 'Haenseni'. "You can't really be fighting an enemy if you can't properly say their name, makes ye seem like idiots." The peasant woman scrambled the uninspired missive and tossed it away, going off to joy the arms of her beloved, far away from a war that will go on for many iterations.

Anahiel, the Empty Vessel prepared by GOD, lowered her head upon hearing the news that Humanity still had not united in peace. "I had hoped for better from the new Arch-Chancellor, but it appears that the Anathemata continue to taint everything they touch. It is time to go into the lion's den and pull out this next lamb before it is slaughtered."

“Sounds to me like Haensers lost another fight,” is what Philip III had said when the incident was first told to him.

"There can be no laxity in faith for any reason, not war nor peace, not wealth nor poverty. The Lord lasts through all adversities, for He is their source and their remedy—without Him, they are uncured."

Lucia d'Azor recited the verse.

"Invigorate us Lord. Guide us through these times."

Elimar sat reclined in the lab, feet propped on a table as he poured over the latest edition of Hearsay of Hanseti-Ruska. “Tsch. Science,” he teased amidst his reading, “The witch doesn’t fool me.”

The old King would smirk from his chair upon reading the missive that arrived, upon piles of others that arrived at his home in the frozen mountaintops, sent by practically every other nation regarding the renewed offensive.

Tsar of Urguan… t’at has a noice ring teh et honestleh. Shame t’ese lads are onleh gud at name-callin’ t’ough.

The old King would then stand, returning to his work, deciphering texts from an unknown sender…
