ON THE WALDENIAN WALRUS

An Edict of the Waldenic Diet

Though the national symbol of Waldenia is considered to be the black eagle, many species have since attained widespread recognition as staples of Waldenian life and culture through their presence in the former territories of Aesterwald. One of these species, however, is today in grave danger of extinction - this being the Waldenian Walrus which once swarmed the shores of Vanderfell and Ayr, but in Almaris now lives in ever-dwindling habitats and numbers.

Having first discussed this issue during the 2nd Session of the 3rd Waldenic Diet, during which a motion to protect the habitats of these endangered animals from poaching through mutual cooperation was agreed to unanimously by the present Electors, the responsibility now rests on the Fifth Waldenic Diet to formally codify the matter and see it become reality.

Thus, does the Fifth Waldenic Diet enact its first official edict by the powers granted to it by the Waldenian people.

From now on to the end of times, any hunting of the Waldenian Walrus in the lands of those belonging to the Waldenic Electorate is thus forbidden, and those in breach of this edict shall be condemned by the Waldenic Diet.
