seannie 6770 Popular Post Share Posted October 16, 2022 THE ROYAL BAN OF ACRE ON WOLFGANG DE VILAIN ON THE SUBJECT OF REBELLIOUS SECESSIONISTS 8th of Sun’s Smile, 1894 Peace be upon you all, During the Electoral Summit of 1894, in which the majority of the realm, the Grafschaft of Minitz, the Principality of Merryweather, and the Principality of Alstion voted to maintain the royal course of the United Kingdom of Aaun, one sheep, blackened by selfishness, stood apart from the rest: the Barony of Acre. Even going as far as bringing foreign mercenaries, these von Dracos, to our most august Summit in some cheap attempt to intimidate us into submission. In their ceaseless quest to disrupt the naturality of peace and order, they have wilfully declared themselves a rebellious entity after they saw themselves become minority in a realm who wishes to remain royal, set on rendering the heartland fractured beyond repair. However, at the request of the Church of the Canon, I sought to prevent blood from being shed so unceremoniously within the ruins of Vienne, where so many had died prior already; so peace was had on that fateful day, and returned to Acre did the House de Vilain, for now. I had once a great love for Acre, myself being a ranger of those lands during the times of Baron Gustaf and Hannes, and to some extent, I still do, for when the Baroness of Acre, Aloisia, bequeathed unto me all of its possessions, I returned them to their rightful owners, with full honors - but this Wolfgang, this petulant man whose actions befit that of a child, has bitten the hand that fed him. Was it not I, who saved the Harvest Confederacy from annexation? Who orchestrated a peace that maintained our livelihoods, saving us from the ruination brought upon us by Acre in their attack on the Kingdom of Balian? To call me inherently tyrannical, as if in comparison to the Novellens of old, forgoing the fact that those said tyrants prosecuted, oppressed, my family for generations, whilst also inadvertently debasing our Saintly monarchs of histories, who themselves were not inherently tyrannical, nor brought any ruin upon us. To call Kingdoms systemically tyrannical, before it has even been formed fully, is the epitome of foolishness - an insult to those of Balian or Haense. The Barony of Acre could have seceded during the peace I sorted, now they attempt to do so? Fools. Thus, in my newly affirmed authority as the Sovereign of Aaun, I do plan to meet these secessionist demands with force. Union is eternal, and any who seek to destabilize our realm shall be dealt with accordingly. These Acreans may have their independence, but only in the form of an exodus away from our heartland - Aaun shall remain forever whole as it was when formed. I hereby issue a Royal Ban on Wolfgang de Vilain, and any who support him. To see this matter fulfilled, the levies of Aaun have been called to unite under the Black Dragon Banner of Alstion, now marching on the Barony of Acre. Sovereign of Aaun, Prince of Alstion, Charles Alstion
HogoBojo 3937 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Hogo Bojo, Geopolitical Mastermind of Almaris would scratch his chin as he recieved the missive. "Quite an interesting development to be sure, however I can niet say that I am surprised. Only time will tell how the second Acre Rebellion shall transpire. Shall it be victory again for them, or otherwise."

Crevel 4699 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Petyr hears of the conflict abroad. A nasty bit of business, but he hopes that it is resolved swiftly. After recently hearing of the elevation of the 'von Draco' to Haeseni nobility, he wonders if that would cause any complications. Messy wars aren't good for anyone. Spoiler Hogo, please refrain from editing my posts. Especially when it's calling you out for reserve-posting when it is against the forum rules. Thanks.

Shmeepicus 3941 Share Posted October 16, 2022 The Nauzican banner is raised in support of the Bonnie Prince Charlie. "War, then." Dzmitry Barrow, son of the Duke of Reutov commented idly.

TheCapybara 1759 Share Posted October 16, 2022 "The dragons of black shall Battle the sheep of Acre. Dragons have no fear of the sheep and rats who poison our Kingdom. Their fields shall turn barren from fire and blood." Eleanore von Wexler expressed with a stern tone while passionately assisting the citizens of the realm; to build defenses for the coming war with the Acreans. Looking towards the setting sun while she worked, having faith in her god and in her king.
Pancho 2445 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Alto de Murat, son of Treble de Murat who had fought for Peter Augustus IV, would tap the Imperial Armour he bore for his entire life as he rallied to the banners of Acre once more in their righteous cause. "Sic Semper Tyrannis."
rukio 8908 Share Posted October 16, 2022 A loyal bannerman of Acre sharpens his blade and polishes armor. To Gustaf he had pledged his sword, to Hannes he had upheld that vow, and now with Wolfgang he would stand. "I do love a good rebellion." He'd state towards Cynefrith before finally reading the missive in full. "A politician's tongue has but one place, the fireplace, so he can speak no further lies." A smirk forming then on that loyal man of Acre's pallid visage.
sergisala 2739 Share Posted October 16, 2022 "Those who would bring conflict upon a holy place, such as a Cathedral, or violently interrupt a holy ceremony held by a priest of the Holy Mother Church are sinners, and sin can only be cleansed with fire and blood. I, for once, spiritually stand alongside the valiant people of Aaun against the tyranny and savagery of the vile sinners of Acre." said Lucius, once a victim of the treachery of Acre.
ibiou 1453 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Anne grimaced, having seen two Aaun supporters leave Acre after trying to promote a duel against its baron. It isn't very sovereign-like to lie in front of God, for all of Almaris to see, is it? She thought. They drew blades first and we were asked to leave upon being denied the right to secede. I recall seeing a vein pop upon his forehead, not wanting to lose more land. How very unsovereign.

SapphirePool 1088 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Persephone spoke with members of the royal chambers on this escalating matter. Viscountess Catherine of Anatis was still inconsulable after her daughter was stolen married earlier that day. An old dame Amelia was wondering where she was in the middle of nowhere. She had a new friend, a fly she named todd whom she had successfully tied a thin string to as a leash.
