Petyr 485 Share Posted December 7, 2011 This is already decided for the most part. Don't stress about it anymore (or do).
Busenki 17 Share Posted December 7, 2011 I'll just say, I don't even care anymore. I will stop bitching about it and let the GM's do the thing they are best at. As Native said I will let it make sense. Didn't know I was insulting someone for saying that the idea of bringing nothing is dumb. Peace Native, I am NOT hating.
Religious_Pie 127 Share Posted December 7, 2011 I have just noticed that bringing nothing with you when moving is dumb and unrealistic. Would you really bring NOTHING? I don't think so. You would (IRL) most deffinately bring a survival kit, some food, weapons and money. Oh, there is a minas cap! Great! So, you are this rich person that has been carrying 500000000 minas around every day, IN YOUR DAMN POCKETS. But now when you most need them you only bring 10k. [spoiler: MAKES NO ******* SENSE, MY CHILDREN.] I'm not entirely sure what side you are taking here, but if you think it is un-realistic that someones been carrying X minas around, and now can only carry up to 10k, surely, carrying hundreds of thousands is already ridiculous enough...and no...not really, if say, you were about to be attacked, you would run, with just the clothes of your back, not just pick up some stuff in your room such as your wallet, your business supplies, while killing is commencing in your street...Btw, this isn't aimed at you directly busenki C:
domainoft 191 Share Posted December 7, 2011 I really don't care about my stuff, but I do want to keep my character. What is the status of getting rid of all characters? I don't care about my stuff, or my character. I will be rolling an heir to my character and starting with very little, I find that once you have all the responsibility and power it gets tiresome. There is a whole different kind of experience in Aegis in being "the little guy/lass" that I urge all the veteran players to enjoy as they once did. Would it be so bad to sit back as a simple shop keeper or sugar cane harvester and see how the new generation of players to LotC build empires, A world without leaders retired to become wise old men and women is a sadder one. Nononymous 306 Share Posted December 7, 2011 Hi guys! It's Redbain! I'm just goin to offer up some ideas for the map reset (EXCITED!!) which I am confident will be shot down immediately but hey, I gotta try. Also, sorry for any major typos in advance, using my iPhone to type this. First things first, when the map resets, i feel that SOME items should be brought. If you were to flee a burning landscape, you WOULD salvage items. HOWEVER, there should be a limit as to wat you can bring, such as nothing that would ruin the "new" feeling of the land. In other words, no inflation!! It will kill the good RP of the land. Second, I read many of the replies of others and someone stated that people with tons of money with them at all times would hav that much with them. I agree this is more realistic but could ruin the "new" feeling as you first enter the world. There should be a limit but it should be in comparison to the player. Nobles/wealthy should be able to bring more so as not to ruin their family nAme. Commoners shouldn't be able to bring AS much, but still something. Everyone should be promised a weapon of their choice (which they must buy themselves) and at least SOME food as, once again, for RP to be successful this should be as realistic as possible. Third, I would recommend a big server event for the map reset, told in advance to everyone so they do not miss out. But, for people that don't mAke the event, should cine to the land as "ship wrecks." what I would love to see in the new land is LOTS of pre made structures. When I say this, I DON'T mean homes. I'm thinking more along the lines of ruins, temples, etc. So far, these are all my OPINIONS. I'm actually hoping some of these ideas are shot down just for some more clarification on the subject. I do not mean to start anything mean or disrespectful with these ideas. Thanks for reading!! :D

Midnus_Anarion 50 Share Posted December 7, 2011 I can acccept loosing all items and having a mina cap. the only thing im really concerned about is the books. My IC nephew/son Has written a few really great books that i enjoy immensely, It would be really saddening if we were to loose them.
Priest Bryce Grimson 5 Share Posted December 7, 2011 I think they should set a max minas of around 40k. We don't want to kill the economy, but we do want to sort of "restart it". Also, someone above said give each item a weight, and you can only take a max number of items, that add up to the weight! I thought this would work fairly well. It is hard being the little one, and working your way up, were their stack of wood is their most prized object, but at the same like everyone else said, we don't want the huge money makers, to have a crazy amount of wealth... Just my opinion.
Salvo 1852 Share Posted December 8, 2011 Imho, we should bring with us only our skills. No minas, no items.

Just my opinion. The first idea is good becouse it's annoying to have someone with a moving fortress (after they have mined) and also it's bad to fall down a hole and die with your moving fortress. The second idea is better than nothing, but won't help, becouse if i have wealth in items, it's just like investing so it doesn't change much. mylimo7 409 Share Posted December 8, 2011 Like for I have around 40 k. But that is because I am really hoping on the New World to have land for sale. I'll most likely spend all my minas on the land for my new Therving Tavern which many know and love. And we would need this because how else would you go about getting a drink the first couple days in our new living space? The items ( if we can bring any ) would defiantly include what diamonds and iron I have left from the fall of Al'khazar and I would use them for personal use or use them as a trading tool to gather more items for my tavern. The rest of my items would include food, seeds, and tools to help my fellow friends and the fellow man. Not all of us are in this for selfish gain. I for one think that only a inventory full of items can be brought over along with all the minas because I am going to be the one helping people that need help, say they need food or some spare minas. But that is just me. ( why don't you hold a poll to get the complete opinion of what people think should happen? Regarding the minas, items, and skills. ). -- Throdo Therving
Lykos 276 Share Posted December 8, 2011 For the items, I only wish to keep a personal inventory, just what we can carry. Swiping our progress just seems... Dickish. -least we get to keep our skills... Right?...Right?...
