A Settlement Made

In light of appeals made on behalf of the Rhun Oathed, the magistrates and Grand King of Urguan have seen fit to revisit the conduct and results of the aforementioned trial. Following the completion of this review, both the High Court and Rhun Oathed have agreed to an out of court settlement of the case that will avoid further legal battle. The terms of settlement are as followed;

The Rhun Oathed reaffirms the authority of the Grand King and Government over the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and all of its citizens and residents.

Due to the potential legal connotations surrounding the word ‘Prophet’ via its associations with Da Kirkja Dverga, the Rhun Oathed shall henceforth cease using the term Prophet to describe any of their members in public forums and documentation.

The Rhun Oathed have agreed to remain open to dialogue and debate with other religious sects and denominations within Urguan.

The Rhun Oathed acknowledges the decision of the High Courts of Urguan that Garedyn is not guilty of the crime of Kinslay, under the cited reason of self defense. Any further mention of Garedyn as a Kinslayer will be ruled as insinuating him to be guilty of the crime, and is liable to charges of Slander and will be punished as a fourth degree crime.

So long as the Rhun Oathed adhere to these terms as long as they remain relevant in Urguan Law, they shall face no further prosecution for the crimes mentioned in the trial prior to appeal.

Signed,

Agnar Grandaxe, Grand King of Urguan, Clan Father of Grandaxe,

Defender of Kal’Ordholm, Protector of the Dwarves

of the High Court of Urguan

As the fire crackled in the hearth and the aroma of ale filled the air, the weary dwarf slumped onto a nearby stool. With a heavy sigh, he leaned back and stared into the distance, lost in thought. His mind was filled with the weight of the news he had just received.

It was then that the dwarf broke his silence, his voice ringing out across the room. The few dwarves present turned to look at him, their curiosity piqued. With a deep breath, the dwarf began to speak, his voice filled with conviction.

“I understand that this may be a difficult announcement for some of you to accept. Let me remind you that our great nation is founded on the rule of law, and that includes a process that must be respected when making arrests.

If you had taken the time to follow proper procedures and build a strong case, you would have emerged victorious. Unfortunately, you rushed ahead without proper preparation, and the outcome was not in your favor.

Let this be a lesson to you all. Cases of this magnitude require careful consideration and attention to detail. You must be prepared to navigate the complexities of our legal system and the intelligence of those who seek to respect it, The Old Guard.

Moving forward, let us all commit to upholding the law and working within the established process to ensure justice is served.

Thank you all.”

After his passioned speech, the dwarf wasted no time in taking action. With conviction in his heart, he strode purposefully towards the nearest dwarf, Darek Irongrinder, determined to rally his support for the cause.

Without hesitation, he affixed a pin to the dwarf's tunic, emblazoned with the words "THE MOVEMENT." He knew that this simple act would signal the dwarf's allegiance to the cause and that he would be counted on as a loyal supporter in the upcoming kingdom election.

The dwarf's heart swelled with pride as he looked around at his fellow dwarves, united in their shared purpose. With renewed determination, he set his sights on the future, knowing that together they would overcome any obstacle in their path.

For this dwarf, the pin was not just a symbol of his support for the cause, but a reminder of the power of unity and the strength that could be found in working together towards a common goal.
