ON THE NAMING OF STASSION

TO ANY INTERESTED PARTY,

It has come to our attention that not only the Ferryman but many others have voiced their issue on aspects of Orenia and Novellen, and have listed the Kingdom of Aaun in the same standards as off Balian. To have seen the comparison of our own noble estate being placed on the same standing as those who reside in and lead Balian made us recognize the standards in which many have viewed us.
 

Let it be known that Stassion does not claim anything related to Oren and has no intention to follow or create such. Our history may be related to the former Kingdom but the beliefs and the culture that  are connected to such an entity are not something that Stassion will even consider to entertain. We shall not stoop to the levels of the degenerate leaders of Balian to contest for Orenia nor do we wish to claim to be called Novellen, knowing that we can be considered to have any relation to such pigs. 

 

THEREFORE, LET IT BE KNOWN:

   I  — We do formally announce, as the mainline of the House of Novellen, that from this day henceforth the name shall be defunct and destroyed. Just as our ancestors of the House of Horen before us once did, we now lay the name to rest, to be confined to the pages of history. 

 

  II  — We do formally announce that, although our household is derived from the House of Novellen, we will be recognized as The House of Stassion. Like the Novellens before us, we too shall take the name of our ancestral palace, Stassion, from which our household originates. While we will accept that our ancestors were of the House of Novellen, we do hereby promulgate that generation of Frederick Aurelian and onward will bear the name of Stassion.

 

  III  — We do formally announce that any who wish to continue to claim the name of Novellen, such as Adrian ‘the Weak’, shall be seen as nothing more than pretenders. We do hereby denounce any claim to the name Novellen and will regard any who attempt to do so as pigs worthy of the slaughter. We further announce that we will also join with those who believe that repercussions are necessary.
 

To a personal message to Adrian ‘the Weak’ and any of those who wish to follow, claim what you wish. Stay in your keep with the guards which you count on but a single hand. If you wish to continue to insult us as you have done countless times. If that is the route you wish to take, let it be known. Stassion will be coming.

A Balianese historian would look through various books pertaining to both nations. She would soon come to notice that despite being called weak, King Adrian I of Balian had managed to control a longer and more stable reign than King Frederick I of Oren. As such, she concluded that the missive must be incorrect, and would set about figuring out how to write such a wrong.

The Aging former Countess of Hohengarten read over the the missive with curiousity. It was true in their initial arrival as part of Aaun, the old woman could only remember the horror stories. How her uncle was killed by the emperor, what the Orennians did to their people.
