Dogged 2129 Share Posted December 5, 2023 THE KVAZI HUSSARS “Golden Hussars” “Asereo Zakiskmavr Ildanz” Motto of Golden Hussars “We Defend Our Homes” The Northland Brigade Golden Hussars is a corps of cavalry operating with the Brotherhood of Saint Karl, composed entirely of light spear-wielding horsemen known as Hussars. Raised by order of Koeng Sigmund II in 320 ES, the company was tasked with the defense and protection of the western frontier of Slesvik, drawing its recruits jointly from the Low Marian settlers and the Kusokarovian natives of Johnsland (the area encompassing Johnstown and surrounding hamlets). Now, the brigade defends the Kingdom from foreign raids and is stationed on top of Mount Sigismund. Because of the sprawling wilderness and lack of proper infrastructure (such as roads), the company operates primarily in loose formation, able to cross rugged and alpine terrain over long distances while acting as scouts and riders. All members of the company receive a salary every year (or every Saint’s week), the amount dependent upon their rank.
