Epicethan4 271 Popular Post Share Posted January 1 The Bloodthirsty League of Veletz has butchered, pillaged and looted its way through its short yet infamous history upon the isles of Aevos. Yet, those within the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and across the West ask upon themselves, ‘If Veletz is permitted victory in this war, why does it matter? Why should I care?’ Alas, this is precisely the question that must be answered. If Veletz wins, what do we stand to lose? What will happen if the hordes of Veletz proclaim victory in the Aevos Coalition war? The answers are the following: I ETERNAL WARS OF CONQUEST Peace as we know it, will become a distant memory. The bloodlust of the League of the Vicious will never be satiated. Their desperate search for any Casus belli for the conflicts they start has proven this. The League of Villainy despises the nature of peace, and profits from bloodshed and war, together with their Ferrymen brigands. Their leadership sees war as a sport and a game for their own amusement, something to be enjoyed to extract as much wealth as possible from the nations they conquer. If they were to conquer Haense, they would march on our Grand Kingdom of Urguan, if they were to conquer us, then Petra, then Aaun, then Numendil, then Nor’Velyth, again and again until no other nation exists to oppose them. Where there is sovereignty for a foreign nation, the accursed armies of Veletz will stamp upon it. The whole isles of Aevos will be bathed in a sea of blood and violence. To us, peace is the absence of war, for them, peace is merely the PRECURSOR of it. II LAWLESSNESS AND TERROR Marching with the Ferrymen terrorizers, law and order as we know it will be replaced with chaos and extortion. The League of Veletz frequently kidnaps and assassinates heads of government and states along with their ferrymen bandits. The Ferrymen boast about opposing imperialism, whilst supporting the imperialistic endeavors of the League of Violence, helping them when they murdered their own ally the King of Aaun, assaulted Haense with vicious raids, and kidnapped pregnant women. Their words are hollow, do not be fooled, they will attack your cities, murder your leaders and when you dare fight back, they will accuse you of their own crimes! One can expect a complete breakdown of the legal system. The common people on the road will no longer be safe, as Ferrymen and Veletz pillagers march along the roads of Aevos. The League of Veletz is as a bandit kingdom, relying on kidnappings, pillaging and war to make their profit, they march under the banner of chaos. III MANDATORY KHORVAD WORSHIP Easily the most disgusting and repugnant issue with the League of the Vitriol is their known allegiance with darkspawn. It is known that they use captured soldiers and civilians as livestock for their darkspawn masters. The captured common people and soldiers are harvested for their souls and blood to fit the appetite of the legion of darkstalkers, draugurs and vampires that in-truth rule the League of Vandals. Their excommunication by the human religion is only more proof of this. The faith of the Brathmordakin, and Canonism, will be OUTLAWED across their territory, anyone caught worshipping the Brathmordakin will be captured, their soul robbed by the League of Vermin and turned into a WIGHT! WHAT CAN BE DONE? FIGHT! Many good Dwedmar and Men of Aevos have enlisted to fight this abominable plague upon our sacred lands! Their answer to a Veletz future? NO! With the might of the Legion of Urguan and its allies, we shall strive back these Khorvad-sympathisers and save Aevos from destruction and tyranny. YOU CAN STOP THIS! JOIN DUNGRIMM’S LEGION! NARVOK OZ URGUAN!
_RoyalCrafter_ 3257 Share Posted January 1 (edited) Sonia Shadowstone read the missive. "Oi'm gonna drop a drop ah rock on their skull" The dwedlon commented as she searched for the perfect skull-crushing rock in her collection of stones. The Grand King, still in recovery, read the missive. "Shrimpleh factual infermashen" He dragged himself to the forge and sat down, begging to cast his magics to bring the forge to life to craft weapons for the Legion. Tide1 1593 Share Posted January 1 "To think I would sit here, my Legions bloodied, my people deemed the target of total annihilation, and read about how threatened the mighty dwarves feel. We must be winning then." Remarked one weary Lord Marshal upon reading the propaganda and sighed disappointingly.

Bluto pulls from the sleet-clouded window to spit a globule of phlegm and ale into the flagstone tiles of the Tunnelsmasher longhouse. "Must be those sick 'umri bastards."
Lomiei 1488 Share Posted January 1 Spoiler I wonder how napoleon bonaparte feels about veletz rn. homeboy won like 5 wars against coalitions, ending up fighting the entire european continent and won most of them decisively and then lost the 6th one and died (grossly summarized story). art imitates life, dont it (does veletz have a napoleon-like figure?)
Crymson 481 Share Posted January 1 Hali pins this note up above his space in the barracks. “More should be said about the wisdom of dwarves. Of all the reasons given for why we must halt this horde of blackguards, these are central truths. Veletzian nature has been proven before.”

Spoiler If Veletz was able to expand into an Empire this would've made much more sense. (Unless the self-proclaimed Emperor would go into exile a few years after if you want to finish the whole IRL plot of one of Europe's best conquerors. Let the guy rest in peace, god damn. Napoleon would literally not give a f-ck about mineman.)
