hi we dunno if wither work against construct + a narrative hour is a bit long + clarification on projectile/line of sight

old:

Spoiler

[Spell] [Combat] - Wither

A harrowing messenger of the infinite, one’s burden of weakness is not one unmeant to be shared. Twisting the tumultuous gateway one had ripped within their soul, one may extend their gift to another. Unfortunately not all bodies are meant to receive such blessing.

The Voidstalker is eligible after [1 Connect + 1 Charge + 1 Cast] emotes to afflict someone with physical weakness and exhaustion similar to their own, lasting until the end of combat or for a narrative hour; Causing the target to be greatly hindered in all physical capabilities. This exhaustion is fleeting and brief - as an unsuitable host for corruption would quickly recover after Four [4] emotes of exhaustion, then returned as if they were "Winded" but not physically or endurance-wise hindered by Voidal Poisoning.

Redlines

-A target affected by Wither would have the effects last for four emotes, recovering on the fifth, or for one narrative hour noncombat.

-A target affected by Wither would suffer voidal weakness and exhaustion akin to the Voidstalker, listed in the physical effects above for Four emotes after the spell has cast. Afterward, they would merely be "Winded" - strength and stamina for the most part restored to what it was pre-withering.

-A target may not have the effects of Withering stacked upon them, or reapplied while they are withered.

-Only one target may be withered at a time.

-A Voidstalker may move and react at half-pace while casting Wither. This includes on a connect and disconnect emote- should the Voidstalker stop casting or be interrupted, they will still move and react half-pace upon that emote.

-Requires line of sight

Redlines

-Wither can be used against constructs, though as most constructs live with heavier bodies, it would not cause them to collapse under their own weight, instead causing them to move at half pace for the time, and be restricted to one-handed weaponry.

-A target affected by Wither would have the effects last for four emotes, recovering on the fifth, or for half of a narrative hour noncombat.

-A target affected by Wither would suffer voidal weakness and exhaustion akin to the Voidstalker, listed in the physical effects above for Four emotes after the spell has cast. Afterward, they would merely be "Winded" - strength and stamina for the most part restored to what it was pre-withering.

-Requires line of sight, as per voidal casting rules.

-Wither can be cast upon anyone in #rp range that is not behind any vision-impairing barrier, a warding shield, or other means of cancelling magic, including abjuration upon the Voidstalker. Wither is NOT a projectile, and therefore cannot be 'dodged' in the traditional sense.

-Wither does not require one to keep casting for all Four [4] of the emotes. Once the spell is cast, (After the "1 Cast" emote) they may freely begin casting another spell.

this is my first ever lore amendment so if im trippin please let me know
some of these aren't changes- just kinda, clarifications that were unpresent or vague :)

reasoning for these changes is just some clarifications.

As requested: A lore reason as to why Wither could be used against any constructs would be that as stated in Animii lore, under 'Machine Spirits', the Void does effect construct bodies, mandating further repair. Though, forcing them to be repaired with one simple spell would be far too unbalanced, so, as per balance, Voidstalking would simply weaken the construct bodies for the time.

Could you state the justification behind these changes? I don't see why some constructs would be affected by wither as you've written here.

-Wither can be used against constructs, (Excluding Atronachs, which are already powered by the Void) though it would not cause larger constructs (Ex. Brutus Golem) to collapse under their own weight, such still being able to carry themselves, as the weakness inflicted is proportionate.

This feels a bit too complicated for a redline - it would be easier to just redline a shorter duration for constructs/atronachs. Voidal Mages are inflicted with the weakness Wither applies, despite already having a degree of Voidal Poisoning.

-Requires line of sight, though it is not a projectile. Wither can be used on anyone within 20 blocks (#rp range) that the Voidstalker can see, with the only way of dodging being getting behind cover.

This feels a bit too specific - Wither is still subject to Voidal Casting rules pertaining to Line of Sight. While I think the non-projectile and range clarification is good, it would still be blocked by Warding Barriers, Direct Abjuration, and any means of obscuring the line of sight from the Voidstalker to the Target - Translocating out of their view, smoke/visual obscurement, cover, and so forth. It might be better to simply state it cannot simply be physically dodged, and to mandate some form of a tell on the charging emote so the intended target has time to act.
