“It’s about time these imbecile Aaunic schemers, who aren’t even good at it, are brought some sort of consequence.” Renilde called upon her blacksmith, Briga Irongut, to have a companion to her trusty sword, The Ivory Empress, forged in the flames of Hohkmat’s smithy.

Cedric mocks with defiance after looking the missive. "War? You have crossed rivers and mountains to fall at our feet with empty words, dressed in bravery, but will it be enough to hide the fear in you eyes? When night falls, Ravenmire will be forgotten, and the Aaunites will sit in Whitespire, as always."

Somewhere, a formerly masked man looked over the delicacies he’d snatched on the way through the spire, part of the group who’d discovered the corpse of James Whitespire - Charles II’s quite literal skeleton-in-the-closet.

Champagne, chocolate, coffee, and cookies. Delicacies he was unsure if he could bring himself to enjoy, knowing the corrupted, rotten place he’d taken them from.

While they had not reached the peak of the spire itself, it hadn’t mattered. Should they ever need to, they could scale it again.

Thankfully, though, it seemed it would crumble instead.

Elsewhere, an old man was unusually sober. The declaration barely even registered - he was too busy eyeing the boats of Whitespire from afar, with sinister intent.

38 minutes ago, Olox_ said:

"Do you smell it, Ser Jan?" The King of Aaun, Charles II, inquired "The smell of invasion? Rally the banners, rally the Nauzicans. In the spirit of Haverlock we shall prevail or die in this war."

"We shall prevail, I am sure of it," Ser Jan Jazlowiecki retorted to the Alstion King. "Through all, we prevail, a certain House says."

"Nothing makes me feel more alive than HYPERWAR!" Archmarshal Tiber declared in opposition to all the quippers, finding great joy in mobilizing Aaun to total war.

"Men were not meant to endure two-hundred years of suffering. We were not meant to pass our woes unto our children. We do not live for thousands of years. We live in the now. And now something will happen. The despoiler's rule will come to an end." spoke Tiberias, banner aloft before his men.

"How many times must we teach you this lesson?" Commented Percy de Lyons.

the Count of Salia raised the missive to read clearly in the light of the ever blazing southern sun, he'd sigh as he finished the contents, "So they wish to install a Veletzii Dictator into the Kingdom of Aaun, how ******* stupid." he'd state, waiting for his Kings words on their next move, surely as he was Protector of the Heartlanders, he will do what is necessary.

Aurel von Theonus read the list of demands, though certain words caught his eye "...assume control of the heartlands?" he muttered while his eye began to twitch. "Do they wish to force us back into the confederation, should they win?" At this point he heard his cousin's call to hang Petran flags from the battlements of the family keep. "Perhaps this is a misunderstanding..." he'd ponder in-between swings of his pickaxe as he gathered material, just in case.

The Nauzican Brigadier Alexander Darkwood, a loyal subject of the Crown of Aaun, delivered the following remarks upon hearing of the declaration of war from Ravenmire:

"It is not the first time that we, the loyal Alstionites, suffer an unjust foreign invasion to our sovereign country. His Imperial Majesty John I Frederick Horen, founder of the line of Alstion, already suffered an unprecedented Urguanite invasion three years after his ascension to the Throne of Man in the Imperial City of Felsen in 1526. And yet, against all odds, we did not retreat from our rightful position. Instead, we conquered the world, and brought the Urguanites back to the distant lands where they came from."

The Nauzican then unsheathed his sword, pointing outwards towards the north and stated:

"We shall defend the Apostolic Kingdom just as we once defended the Johannian Empire many centuries ago! Come, Lord of Ravenmire! The Nauzican Brigade is waiting for you! The Justice of Horen awaits you!"

Sigmar var Ruthern would, as due his position, read the missive as it were passed around. He'd shake his head, going to pen a couple different letters only moments later. After finishing each individual letter, he'd shake his head with a scoff.

"Well then, that just won't do." He'd comment, watching as the birds went about their separate ways, delivering a wide range of correspondences.

“Ah for ****’s sake.” The Interim Auditor of the Church banged his head upon the wall of his office. After suffering a concussion of choice and not chance, the aged man sat down and contemplated the state of the world. “Canondom pushes itself to the brink, this must stop.”

"So, the rumors were true," the silver eyed princess quietly stated. "This is quite amusing."
