Happy playing, and Luara’s light upon you all! [OOC] How to Play: Spoiler Setup Step 1: Each player begins by openly selecting 2 Realms. These Realms will determine which cards players may choose from. Each Realm has 9 cards to choose from, and players may choose a total of 9 cards from their 2 Realms to make a deck from. Example: 5 Norland cards and 4 Neveahlen cards. Step 2: Once each player selects their 2 Realms and 9 cards, they may add up to 3 copies of each card into their deck (dispenser in Minecraft) for a total of 27 cards maximum. Step 3: Add four cards at random (pressing the button on the dispenser) to the starting hand. Step 4: Determine who will be Player 1 and Player 2 by a coinflip (/roll 1d2). TLDR: Pick 9 cards total from 2 Realms, put 3 copies of each in the dispenser. Decide who goes first. Playing the Game Each round is broken up into five phases, alternating who goes first each round. Draw One P1 Play Phase / P2 Play Phase P2 Play Phase / P1 Play Phase P1 Attack Phase / P2 Attack Phase P2 Attack Phase / P1 Attack Phase During the Play Phase, the players may either place one unit on any of the 9 tiles they own, or cast one spell. During the Attack Phase, the player may Activate all of their Units. When Units are Activated, they must all perform the same action, either using their Movement towards one tile, including diagonally, or Attacking: All Soldiers [3 ATK, 6 HP] may Attack any unit adjacent to it, including diagonally. If the attacker kills the unit, it may advance upon the killed unit’s tile. All Archers [3 ATK, 4 HP] may Attack any units within 2 tiles, including diagonally. All Mages [2 ATK, 3 HP] may Attack any unit on the field. If no enemy units are on the field at the start of an Attack, a single Unit may attack the enemy player’s HP directly regardless of location. A Soldier may also Attack the enemy player if it has advanced all the way towards the end of their column, regardless of nearby units. Winning the Game Each player has 9 HP, which cannot be increased or healed in any way. The game ends when one person has lost all their HP. Should a player run out of cards, play continues as normal until either player loses their HP or runs out of viable moves. Paper - Notes for keeping track. Regardless, they collect their Ravenmire-Petra deck and prepare to lobby for special edition cards. The vacationing king wonders if he can bribe this card-maker into making a special leader card for him. The carrot king would be far too powerful of a card.
