Where's Mick?

I am a dude who has fought on the opposite side of Mick multiple times, sometimes directly against him. In all these experiences, they share a common factor: I have never felt OOCly targeted by Mickaelhz or the side he was on. In the Veletz war, when I was captured by Ferrymen, I was treated with nothing but kindness and respect on an OOC level. Any time I've interacted with Mick irp, he is a good roleplayer who does genuinely care about the story and embracing the character he is playing. As the post says, he's definitely someone who prefers to go city-by-city to cause conflict instead of scheduling it OOC.

 

In truth, Mick has taught me a lot. Both indirectly and directly. I've learned both from what he's told me personally and from watching him on the sidelines. This is not a man who will be some sort of backdoor palace dwelling ooc schemer, he's a genuine roleplayer. He's left his impact on several people on the server including myself. I'll wrap this up before I start repeating myself, but in short, #freemickaelhz

Hello LOTC. I do not make posts often, and when I do they hardly reach much renown. However something twisted has been occurring and not many seem to know about, or acknowledge the unjustness of this specific situation. In my play on this server I have been around the block, and from time to time served as a loyal retainer to many Nation Leaders, Groups, etc. I have witnessed many incidents that violate the subjective  umbrella of the recently incubated rule known as ‘metaplay’.

 

Respectively I think the ban on Mickaelhz is moronic, malaized with staff negligence, bias, and unwillingness to backtrack on his verdict. He couldn’t have violated the rather subjective and open ended ruling of ‘metaplay’. For the duration that I have known Mickaelhz, I have never seen a player adhere to rules and make a clear effort to roleplay all their actions and plans for his respective groups he’s helmed. From the days of his reign in Uguan, Plethora of Bandit groups, and even back again to lead Urguan’s military and raise the new generation of dwarven roleplayers. Mick has always made an effort to put RP at the Forefront. The most I had ever seen OOC plotting was simply asking or announcing a time in which a meeting or event would take place. Something that is common practice in other discord servers, and even on the forums. 

 

What boggles me is the fact that Diphz, who was also within this ‘metaplay’ chat, was recently unbanned, why is Mick not? What has Mick said that Diphz hadn’t? Why is it that the Staff actively, and namely @squakhawk are ignoring Mick. Why are certain Nation Leaders who have far more metaphorical dirt and incriminating logs still actively participating in communities and leading them and their decisions entirely from the OOC puppet strings. 

 

As someone who’s been here for a while, and funded the server’s hardware with over $2.5k in donations. I and others want answers.

Thank god we have finally banned this man for the heinous crime of being better than me at PVP. Mickaelhz and his cult of personality has been vanquished once and for all. 

 

On a more serious note, it seems to me that a little clarity on the situation, such as the reasoning behind this band would do well to calm the angry mob. After all, how can you expect someone to know what not to do next time if they still don't know what it was they did the first time?

 

Also please add a cooldown to goat horns. I hate goat horns. I am tired of hearing goat horns.

I've known Mick for a few years, and while I'm not always a big fan of the crowd he runs with, I think issues lay more in the system than him. A ban for metaplay seems heavy-handed, and I would like to rp with him again soon. 

 

If this about raids and wars, I would like to suggest perhaps a way to allow pvp groups to pvp. And for  smaller, or more writing and lore heavy groups freedom to not have to put up with pvp raids. Perhaps map and settlement zoning where pvp via Minecraft clicking is or isn't allowed? Not protection against all conflict, just crp only. I feel like it would allow certain groups to pvp with others like them and still have a good time while not allowing any group to dominate or bully the server communities through pvp attacks.

I don't know why Mick was originally banned, nor did I have any say in it. I only knew after the fact, but this was also sent to me after the fact so I have zero sympathy for the guy. Spreading around logs of when someone was a minor is kinda strange, but at the end of the day it's his call not mine.

legend has it mickaelhz has been my permanent minecraft enemy since 2018 and has slain me countless times on the opposing side of conflict. however, I remember so little of this actually happening that we can conclude that he hasn't actually done anything malicious to me OOCly despite being a forever foe
