Genuine Question; What is the purpose of Seven Skies lore? How does it contribute to the RP of the server?

 

Not trying to be negative, just genuinely curious as when I was dwarf culture lore writing, I often told people who brought up dwarven afterlife canonicity as it being irrelevant, because it frankly cannot ever have an effect on Roleplay Characters.

COSMOS LORE UPDATE REAL? finally my void tear sun/stars theory is true (fr its nice to see space lore get modernized and expanded upon and not just this page is wrong)

 

I can't say I'm a fan of the Thanium updates at first glance because half the magics people use it against already cant fight back in a melee, so you've around won at close distance - but its nice to see Arcanium get some updates and Lunarite join the Magical-Conduit club. Definitely going to have to wait and see how these changes actually play out.

 

It's frustrating to see guides be acknowledged (finally) as what they are. If all the concern is of emote counts and examples - why not just include that in the lore page? Why make people reference another page and section of the forums entirely if the point is raised lore is already to difficult to read in one place? If the answer to a single lore question has multiple answers depending on which LT you ask + if they'll tell you to trust/not trust the guide, that probably shouldn't have been the way in the first place. Obviously I'm a little biased, but it's a sentiment most people I've spoken to also have. Pallo's Malflame guide is a great example of a Guide thats actually useful since it details how a specific bit of lore interacts, instead of a mandatory lore page guide that may or may not be update to date in 2 weeks. 

 

For MArts, the easiest solution would be to deny any MArt coming from Lore that doesnt directly offer a method to MArt (Mystics, in example, only permit Hex MArting to my knowledge and not what the various other MArts pending have been) - but this just tells people they suck for having a lore that doesn't support being creative/developing for RP, which sucks given most of that Lore is Years old. 

 

In truth, though, I'd think having to worry about guides and MArt submissions is a good problem to have - it means people are actively engaging with lore to the point something else supporting it is the issue. That, and the fact I can't recall a period past the launch of the map where I haven't been able to run into a event of some kind definitely makes the map feel alive.

As a witch doctor player, excited that Shamanism is being worked on.
Getting the lore in order would be cool & seeing spirits play a bigger part in the world over-all would be EXTRA cool.
One of the main reasons I've not put in my ET app is because of the *STORY* restrictions on Spiritualism tbh. as it's something i'm geniuenly interested in.

Fearful though, that if the 'spells' and how Shamanism works is changed,
It'll lose the uniqueness of it & instead of forcing you to be creative with how you chant Old-Blah, reagents & rituals to get your desired outcome - we get a spell list.

Please keep that part in-tact u🙏u mr. LT's.

Do like Boomsteel getting a little nerf - i swear every CRP someone pulls it out and nukes the other side lmao.

Anyways it is time to be genuine. 

 

1. The new metal revamp is nice but has a lot less impact if none of them are gatherable which has been a fact for most of Aevos. 

 

2. The server has 4 races. Write lore for all of them. It is good shamanism is being fixed but I hope the team do something else besides make Seven skies cannon.

The dwarven afterlife to me as a dwarf player has mattered in roleplay heavily due to the fact that when my dwarf was raised as a ghoul. The ineractions it has spurred and the conotations that follow with the fact of not being let into the afterlife have been some of the best roleplay yet. 

 

I as someone who will never play a human has a sour taste in my mouth due to the fact that just cause my choice of race impacts the relevancy of my lore/irp theology/gods.

 

The Brathmordakin is a gem compared to the rest, they might be unpolished in some regards but the religious interpretations and debate surrounding them is actually very cool but it is allways sidelined in the end. As we all know "they ain't canon, therefor they don't matter".

 

Dwarf lives matter and the soldier of Urguan will fight til they can't no more.
