It is with great reverence and gratitude that we extend this invitation to gather in celebration of Blademaster Matthew Galken, who has served the Commonwealth’s military with unwavering devotion for forty-one years, and as Master of Blades of the Swords of Saint Emma for thirty-three of those years.

In honor of his steadfast service, His Majesty, King Therin I, shall open the doors of his home — the Citadel of Vallagne — to host a grand feast in Master of Blades Matthew's honor. We will rejoice in his unmatched commitment to the Commonwealth, which began under Queen Catherine I as a soldier of the Legion of Saint Godwin during the Heartlander Confederation, and continued after its fall when the Swords of Saint Emma were born under the tenure of Queen Adalia I. His loyalty never wavered, and upon the ascension of King Therin I, he continued his noble service without a second thought.

Now, on the eve of his well-earned retirement, we shall gather to toast his valor, honor his legacy, and give thanks for his many years of protecting the Meadowlands and her people. It is our hope that all of Petra, and our beloved allies, will join us in this evening of joy and gratitude.

Come with hearts full of appreciation, and voices ready to raise song and cheer in the name of one of the most valiant and enduring warriors the Commonwealth has ever known.
