Nooblius 7965 Popular Post Share Posted March 29, 2025 THE MOST RIGHTEOUS, His Excellency, Anorhil Antonius Harren, Seneschal of the Temple of the True Faith 13th of Godfrey’s Triumph Opening Prayers “Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy. And according to the multitude of Thy tender mercies, blot out my iniquity. Wash me yet more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me. To Thee alone have I sinned, and have done evil before Thee: that Thou mayst be justified in Thy lessons and may overcome when Thou art judged. For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceived me. Behold, Thou hast treasured truth: the uncertain and hidden things of Thy wisdom, Thou hast made manifest to me. Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: Thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow. To my hearing Thou shalt give joy and happiness: and the bones which have been humbled shall rejoice. Turn away Thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create a clean heart in me, O God: renew a right spirit in my bowels. Cast me not away from Thy face, and take not Thy holy ghost away from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit. I will teach the unjust Thy ways, and the wicked shall be converted to Thee. Deliver me from blood, O God, Thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall extol Thy justice! O Lord, Thou wilt open my lips, and my mouth shall shew forth Thy praise! For if Thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: with burnt offerings Thou wilt not be delighted. A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise. Deal favourably, O Lord, in Thy good will with Oren; that the walls of Helena might be built up. Then shalt Thou accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations, and incense: then they shall lay the bells at the altar. AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! A written depiction of Chancellor Ledicort’s wroth as he first saw the bloodied floors of Lemon Hill. TRAGEDY! The False Covenant has shown its true colors; DARK and CRUEL it denies itself the last shred of plausible dignity. After a meeting of priests and prayers upon the Lemon Hill, a war host of the False Covenant set upon the four corners of the tabernacle, assailing the few gathered parishioners, pilgrims, and priests. MONSTERS who desecrate the holiest shrine of all Aevos with the blood of the innocent, needlessly spilled upon the altar floors. They celebrate the slaughter of men such as Prince Thorin Rostova, who had been in the Lemon Hill protecting it, having just successfully slaughtered a DEMON which dared enter the grounds. A man who attended to the dwelling place of the LORD with devotion, as was his duty, because he unlike you reprobate, rootless urbanites, was no nominalist but a TRVE SERVANT of the TRVE FAITH. He, and others, shall enter the chronicles as martyrs as their murderers become villains. May they intercede from their appointed place in the Skies for their unrighteous slaughterers, and all who fall short at their terrible judgement seat of the LORD Most High! No man whom GOD has given the sense he bestowed upon a billy goat cannot see that their false covenant is anything less than an assault on the spiritual authority of the temple, it is a schism and an excuse for those lacking in virtue to perpetuate violence unto the Priesthood of Evaristus and Clement. For they have set their war host against the four corners which uphold the tabernacle, the place of the SPIRIT, of the MERCYFLAME. They have spilled blood and drawn steel in a place set aside as Holy and meant for peace, and in the manner of their Father Iblees, defile and cast down that which is sacred. THE FACADE IS GONE, THE MASK HAS SLIPPED, AND THE CHARADE IS ENDED. What defense is this? The defense of TERRORISM against the HOLY TEMPLE? The defense of a prince’s status ABOVE the moral law that his office ought to be pure? These events, egregious as they are, should be little surprise to those who can read; it is the same story as Vinovia, for it has been the same power which possesses the princes. This power promises them the world, that they are above rebuke and Spirit; it is a world of worldly men and intentions; heed not the grumbling clerics who challenge your authority. Your authority is subject to nothing but GOD; and GOD shall not rebuke your armies! HE REBUKES YOU! He sets the circle of the world against you, for your dishonor is so plain and egregious! HE REBEUKES YOU! Your armies are routed in every true battle they face. HE REBUKES YOU! Your hearts are struck with cowardice at the awe of a MIGHTY GOD (DEUS MAGNUS) who you had foolishly thought yourself greater than. HE REBUKES YOU! Your utter lack of dignity is displayed for the world to see, and to be sung throughout the history books. THEREFORE in the judgement of the Curia, with the counsel of Saint Aengul Raguel it is declared that ALL PRINCES of the FALSE COVENANT are observed to be in a state of EXCOMMUNICATION; for they have lost any dignified excuse for their prosecution of war against the Temple, and plainly now are at war against the Priesthood for the sake of enthroned secular power. The royal dignity afforded to these crowns, especially those which remain unconsecrated and without coronation, is REVOKED; entered into abeyance or demotion until further notice. The princes are to REPENT POST HASTE for the sake of their salvation, and for the sake of their tribes which they continue to put at risk just to defend their EGO. All oaths of loyalty to princes and powers are DISSOLVED, for the fealty to the KING of FLAME, the LORD GOD is greater. Seek out by letter or audience the Seneschal if you seek to exit from the war. We admonish any who stubbornly insist they fight for the sake of their safety; nobody moves to remove you from Aevos, or destroy any place that may shelter you. The Temple has never before threatened the autonomy of principalities, even those it had rebuked; yet as this war progresses, so too shall the necessary guilt of those who choose to perpetuate it. OUTNUMBERED, OUTMATCHED, OUTMANEUVERED. IT IS BETTER TO SURRENDER. IT IS BEST TO DO IT QUICK. GOD HAVE MERCY ON US ALL. With penance declared, the Archaengul Raguel made flight, going from kingdom to kingdom, announcing in near repetition the wrong-doings suffered, and the punishment to befit this crime. Nevertheless, the Kingdom of Haense was not ventured to, for their king had already been excommunicated. Spoiler
Cheese 8891 Popular Post Share Posted March 29, 2025 "They push away all of their followers and then wonder why their church hall is empty." A rogue voidstalker chuckled to herself. "The church really wants to beat them to the punch, but everyone's seen that the Canondom has already rebuked the Curia." Juniper just as quickly discarded the missive into the fire; she had no use for it, and just as little care for Canonist politics. "Funny how the church is just as foolish now as they were a century and a half ago..."
The Vulgate Cycle 577 Share Posted March 29, 2025 (edited) Standing at the bottom of the steps to the palace, Arthur Marsyr was one of the first in Numenost to see the missive as it was posted on walls and columns across the city. And what he read shook him some place old, some place deep, down to the core. Despite his long standing dislike for the corruption and sin tolerated by the Curia, but the Holy See, he could not by any means fathom an assault upon Lemon Hill itself. Like so many things in this war, the news and the ensuing excommunications that followed pulled him in many directions at once. It made him a boiling soup of uncertainty and in this case, dread. Dumbfounded, both by the gravity of the attacks and the harshness of the response, he said "This is insanity." ratlordmagic 1484 Share Posted March 29, 2025 “Seething, impotent rage as Diplomacy, interesting new strategy.” Was all Miroslaw Jazlowiecki had to say to the borderline insensate ramblings of the Mad Tar.
Tremerus 1188 Popular Post Share Posted March 29, 2025 Therin threw the missive in the fire in the Vallagne square "There's definitely no turning back now." He said to whomever was present.
Haseroth 1740 Share Posted March 29, 2025 "Nothing must be left of this covenant! All to ashes!" Screamed the old man who gripped the missive, smiling with glee at the declaration!
Werew0lf 24181 Share Posted March 29, 2025 Saint Raguel—the Archaengul of Justice—seethes in genuine unfiltered rage, his gauntleted right-hand spewing magma and fire. “This will be remembered,” spake the being.
MunaZaldrizoti 8037 Share Posted March 29, 2025 The peasant Zerlina Heidyr only pondered upon where the Pontiff was, in the midst of all this talk of excommunication and holy conquest. Surely this 'Anorhil' was now the Vicar of GOD, for how often she saw his name upon slips of parchment. It was enough to make her head spin!

Legoboy7984 3155 Share Posted March 29, 2025 Duke Sigmund of Kvasz sips his drink from his goblet as he reads the parchment. "The church excommunicated all the Canonist nations. Soon the tyranny will end, and we shall all see peace. And soon a separation of church from state may be seen once more." Spoiler
Wavey 2568 Popular Post Share Posted March 29, 2025 Ivan raises a brow. "How are you excommunicating people without the will of the High Pontiff. Anorhil. Would you coronate yourself too?" He now truly understood what this was: A battle of overcompensating egos. THE LORD weeps.
Kaii 572 Share Posted March 29, 2025 "Now, I'm not the most well-versed in who has power in this church; at this point, it changes every year. Though I'm pretty sure that guy doesn't have the power to excommunicate all the Princes." A certain Stefan Ludovar commented before letting out a long sigh and burning the missive. "They're definitely not invited to my Birthday Party anymore." Elias Constantine Novellen stated to both Lothar and Amadea before continuing his day as if nothing had happened. @Stal27
Cheese 8891 Share Posted March 29, 2025 Just now, Kaii said: "They're definitely not invited to my Birthday Party anymore." Elias Constantine Novellen commented before continuing his day as if nothing had happened. "It will be better without them," Elias's favorite younger sister chimed. ^_^
Norgeth 1894 Share Posted March 29, 2025 “I pray they see their folly and repent. . .” mumbled Captain Cornelius Fellowmere as his grip tightened upon his boarding axe’s handle “GOD Almighty give them this wisdom, else it won't be pretty.” he said with a sigh, heavily considering using slain schismatics for chum and fish bait.
Rig 17581 Share Posted March 29, 2025 Meracahe readied himself for the coming battle. As he lay on his tough sleeping bag, the Dark Elf hoped that he would not pinch a nerve. In the civilized world, many people were seething about the war, and that was certain; however, this did not stop him from prosecuting it alongside his brothers. "The language I shall use to express my dissatisfaction with this Jorenite Covenant's heresy is steel." It would not delight him to see piles of Haeseni corpses sprawled across the field, but he reckoned that the sight of it would be infinitely better than feeding the crows himself. "Lyulen, were you here with us now, I imagine you'd have a wisecrack for me. Our Silent Friend." As the women and noblemen throughout Aevos bickered and threw church missives into campfires, he readied himself to deliver crushing and hewing blows to his enemies with his warhammer. Thoughtfully, the soldier pondered his recital of the holy texts and considered his options. However, Meracahe drifted to sleep, contemplating the insight of the Ancient Humans and their age-old wisdom. "There can be no laxity in faith for any reason—neither war nor peace, neither wealth nor poverty." (Scroll of Spirit: 13).
