When I first started out on this venture, it was never in the pursuit of war. I sacrificed my throne in hopes of raising the height and seat of the Church, and by proxy, becoming closer to the Lord GOD himself.

 

As it grew near and the war started, there was a momentary relief; finally, I would get vengeance for my family that was slaughtered cruelly all those years ago. By the war's conclusion, all this fleeting rage and bubbling anger had settled: there was no joy in this suffering, even if it was earned. 

 

Soon, I found a new purpose: unity for all men, be they from the lands of Joren or from the peaks of Aevos. It did not matter; so long as humanity wanted to come under my banner, I would converge them as one mighty realm. I shall raise a banner strong and mighty – it does not matter who and how.

 

A new age is upon us soon.

 

Long live the Church!

♜𝕀𝕀𝕀 Joren Manfred shall recognize the debt of the House of Ruthern to give a relic-ring depicting a Crow slaying an Eagle to the Holy See for redistribution.

 

♜𝕀𝕍 The House of Barbanov shall pay its debt to Koyo-Kuni.

 

♜𝕍 Joren Manfred shall personally apologize to the Shugo on behalf of the House Barbanov-Bihar, for the arming of Gashadakuro (which led to great death notably to Shugo Uncle-O), and for delaying the siege of Lumbridge for years. Joren Manfred accepts a debt of two starmetal ingots to be repaid to Koyo-Kuni.

 

The promulgation of this document does not determine the spiritual standing of individuals, and people are encouraged to seek out penance for whatever personal part they had if they seek reconciliation.

Manfred stood atop a mountain ridge overlooking the fertile valleys of Burgundy, the clamor of hammers and saws in the distance stirring a quiet warmth in his  heart. Though his hands still bore the calluses of war and his eyes had seen too much blood spilled upon Aevosian soil, he found solace in the sight of rising walls, bustling townsfolk, and the laughter of children echoing between newly hewn timbers. The war, long and bitter, was drawing to a close—and with it came not just relief, but a rekindling of hope. He was glad, deeply and earnestly, to see the land he fought for blooming again—not in fire and iron, but in brick, mortar, and the promise of peace. The Kingdom of Burgundy was here, and in every stone laid and every banner raised, Manfred saw a future brighter than any sword could win.

Alaric slammed his fist into his desk, and shoved his inkwell and documents off the table in a vindictive anger. "What was the Damn point of this all!
