Manfred stood atop a mountain ridge overlooking the fertile valleys of Burgundy, the clamor of hammers and saws in the distance stirring a quiet warmth in his  heart. Though his hands still bore the calluses of war and his eyes had seen too much blood spilled upon Aevosian soil, he found solace in the sight of rising walls, bustling townsfolk, and the laughter of children echoing between newly hewn timbers. The war, long and bitter, was drawing to a close—and with it came not just relief, but a rekindling of hope. He was glad, deeply and earnestly, to see the land he fought for blooming again—not in fire and iron, but in brick, mortar, and the promise of peace. The Kingdom of Burgundy was here, and in every stone laid and every banner raised, Manfred saw a future brighter than any sword could win.

"May the the peace that comes from this war be dedicated to the empowerment of humanity and the future prosperity of all Humanity."

“There is beauty in beginnings and ends. Enjoy the present, reminisce the past, hope for the future. As much as we try to resist fate, ALL things follow a ceaseless march towards Holy Providence,” says Philip III from a life beyond this one.

Mikhail var Ruthern rests well knowing it took over a century and the fall of their shared Kingdom for the Barcloids to reclaim their stupid ring. While the relic may be lost, the eternal memory of their humiliation at the hands of the great House of Ruthern would not be.

"The longest living dynasty, gone in a fleeting moment."

A Wick wiped his blade clean of blood, a somber look was cast to the land his people once resided in. Was communion returned, was GOD's will followed? Or was this another title of land to bloat the unending avarice of a king. He signed the lorraine, unseating himself from a boulder nestled upon a midland mountain.

Only time would tell.

Alaric slammed his fist into his desk, and shoved his inkwell and documents off the table in a vindictive anger. "What was the Damn point of this all! Haense could have survived if we took the damn deal! I am so sorry my flock, I am so so sorry.." wailed the cardinal, as rage-induced tears were shed. He wept for hours in St. Joren's, knowing this all could have been avoided, but that it wasn't.

What was there left for him to do? Guide those few faithful left, perhaps. The Crow in Red would live, but his nest wouldn't. Such was the way of things, such was his lot in life.
