I'm largely in favor with this but I feel the wording of the rule is off. I would suggest this instead. I think that Mods will be strictly interpreting it on the basis of intention regardless. Many people are ignorant on trans issues, homophobia, and even matters pertaining to race in the United States. That being said, it's a bit of a nit-pick for me to say the writing should be modified. Overwhelmingly we need to take steps as a community to disallow role-play which mirrors real life culture, politics and bigotry. I believe that in universe forms of bigotry are accessible when done through the lens of character writing and depicting human error and tribalism, but there's frankly not a reason for players to impart their own real life politics into role-play in 2025.

 

I can't really think of a reason why a trans-person would be so out-of-place in a world where a dead Daemoness' skull can crash into earth and precipitate the apocalypse. There is so much magic on the server as it stands that the idea of gender identities and stuff like that just seems mundane by comparison. With homophobia, I think the server has largely moved towards being more accepting of queer players in the past four years. My pedantic rant is over, Happy Pride!

• Racist roleplay in this context refers to mirrors of IRL racism. Discrimination against in-game races, CAs, magic users, etc. is still permitted.

Mitashi thinks human rp does not need homophobia or anything hateful of this genre. There is no invalidation and if ur rp truly needed to hate gay ppl or the like IC. Idk dude.... time to get a new avenue of rp! Change how you approach it.

Is there any particular reason that sexism was left off? I assume it’s just an oversight, and the server is moving in a better direction with it now, but I’d figure given some of the server’s ill-history with that it’d be a good thing to tack on
