Hmm, Gotrek is a friend and mi' master. But....I must admit the smith guild has been stagnant without a leader..... I'm am loyal to Gotrek but, I think that with his constant travels ((inactivity)) I think that a new king should be appointed. The people's needs must come first and any loyalties I have must be put second in my vote on this matter. We don't want everyone to leave Urguan abandoned again so I say appoint a new King IF Gotrek is absent for too long. ((in ooc i think that he should post on This thread within a week to show if he is active or not. after that the high council does what needs to be done))

this seems to be a dwarven curse in my eyes, not a single king remains standing. also his timezone was a small problem.

i wonder how it is possible to give up such a responsibility for just another game. i have bf3 and i have 4 servers there and a lot of responsibility for my platoon there, but still i am on lotc every day, even if it is not as much as usual. I am still a GM and i act like one, until i get kicked out.

for the next dwarven king ye dwarves should make a wise decision so this does not happen again, we do not want the next king to run away when skyrim comes out, right?

No worries, im Not gonna leave for skyrim. Being a king is a responsebility which you should not take upon yourself if you cannot be on.

As promised here is it, The system we have developed which will hopefully work better then the one we have had now for a long time.

The council we have had now never really worked to well, This i've been told by older council members then myself. Its just the fact that non of them can actually sell houses. And they are all in diffrent timezones. Inactivity in the game has also been a great problem with the council.

We have worked for the last week on this system and hopefully it will work better then the current one.

I give my full support into the new system that has been thought up by the war council and the others who helped. I also believe that this new government system would be a great benefit to the people of Kal'Urguan as I have not really seen activity from the current King and council that is in charge of Kal'Urguan and I know that the people who are to replace the others are very active players.

There are a couple areas in the new system which I think may not work, but the only way to actually prove that is for the system to go into place, and wait and see. My biggest fear is that you have too many people, and the chain of command is going to be confusing for new dwarves who might be confused.

Also, why even have a King when he is useless now?

A Grand King is in control of the Grand Council and the Dwarven military. He can block any decisions made by the Lower Council

So bascially, he can only block decisions by the lower council, but the grand council will be able to do anything they want. If this isn't what you wanted, then you need to make that part more clear, because it looks like the King has nothing to do. All the king does is add regions, which is possibly the most annoying job. What it really needs is a set "advisor" position that can create regions, but this will probably not fly very well with the admins.

Also, there is not definitive place for someone to run the money side of the kingdom, I see somewhere where it mentions High Lord, which will run economics, but is not made up of the higher council. He will control the money side, and that itself could create problems.

Yea I mean the King is a good rper and gets the job done but we need someone who will be online daily for a really long time. Im on from 4:00-10:00 on the week days and Im not even a king nor in the high council. Kal'Urguan is getting less and less people entering daily. Reason being is that the projects that the king started building have never been completed. The Dwarves dont really have much stuff to do in the city any more than just go to their homes and guard. Unfortunatly I'm going to have to give the King a thumbs down. We really need a boost for Kal'Urguan and elect a new king.(Just my opinion.) :-|
