Song Druid 1486 Share Posted November 21, 2011 I'd just like to say I'm not ungrateful or anything like that. I love this server and am very thankful for all updates. :)
Repiteo 173 Share Posted November 21, 2011 What if one ended up never writing their bio? Would it be too late for then to get the additional perks that goes with their lifestyle and occupations?
Destroyer_Bravo 1054 Share Posted November 21, 2011 This argument was a load of crap. I'd say "Lock 'em up!" If this wasn't a developer post, and if I was a GM. I bet you're gonna lock it anyway Vaq. Here's a figurative diamond sword for your efforts ((Will try and steel donate later, don't have the cash yet))
OmegaShade 2 Share Posted November 22, 2011 *Daniceyl's eye widen as he thought of a plan!* I got it! How about if you donate after this then you get some extra credits. My beef was with that if you already were a donater you get more credits, that is what bugged me, but I would be perfectly fine if you donate after this and get extra credits, kinda like a new donaters perk. Well then that absolutely screws over the people that had already donated... because I donated a gold package and cheating me out of extra points, if there are any, is just plain stupid. Why show favoritism towards the newer VIP's? The older VIP's are of the same importance if not more. So it should be the previous VIP's get points and the VIP's after don't get them because they took too long to decide. That is just my opinion... feel free to give me yours towards my reply :)

But yes, I realized how that might upset some people.
Casamir 42 Share Posted November 22, 2011 I enjoy skills greatly! (( I ran mcmmo on my rented server for my players and we all loved it )) Good job bringing em back (( they got taken out right before I got approved )) I do however feel that atleast 1 free reset of skills (( to re appoint them )) should be put in place, or a timer on the command if you can (( like the soulstone )) set to maybe once a month or even longer? (( I goofed up on my skill placements :( talked to respiren in game about it actually )) Either way I love the idea of skills, and some of the ideas out there, I think maybe one of the donator perks could be a higher max TOTAL skills, instead of 275 maybe higher? not just for new vips or old vips like everyone seems to be fighting about but for ALL VIP's new and old (( that argument confuses me, why does it matter if old VIPs would get it anyways? if you just make it so ALL VIPs get it then people who complain can donate and get it, and people who already donated can get it. ))

501warhead 1796 Share Posted November 22, 2011 I'll put my points on my ideas here and be done. I won't argue for them, I just hope they stop to make you think. I think the credits are great for starting people off. It's a decent idea. HOWEVER ------------------ The ability to BUY said credits is the most horrible, HORRIBLE idea I've ever heard. Gamers everywhere with any experience with the online community know the worst, WORST thing anyone can do is as follows... Allow players to BUY power This is a HORRIBLE idea, because then, when it comes down to it, It's NOT Skill, Time, Effort, or determination, the qualities of a good player, that results in a player with good skills. It's about who has MONEY. And that, THAT is my complaint, you are putting a nice little short cut around things that common players must do, GRIND. You basically are stating, 'If you have money, then you are important and better than everyone else. Congratulations.' And even as I may try, I cannot TELL you how astronomically TERRIBLE that is. -------------------- That is my point and idea on the credit system. I will not argue about it. If you don't like me ideals, fine. But I wont change them, so it would be pointless to comment on it. If you do, Well, Good for you, maybe some change will happen. I believe the administrators and developers... somewhat agree with a few points you have there. I believe the amount of credit skills you can put on a skill is 30, which basically means all they can do is become 30 in every skill pretty much which does not really change much at all. I THINK :/ Not quite sure...
GavinTheViking 151 Share Posted November 22, 2011 The skills will help the economy in many ways. 1) There will be more people doing only one job. (Farmers, Miners, Lumberjacks, Warriors, ect.) 2) People will have to trade or buy items instead of being self-sufficient. (Miner trades an Iron Ingot to the Baker for 7 Bread, the Blacksmith repairs the Warrior's armor for some spare Minas he got from selling loot off of his slain enemies, ect.) 3) Buying/ trading supplies will be easier. (The Lumberjack always has wood to sell to the Miner who needs it for sticks to make picks, the Miner will always have Coal to sell to the Warrior to light up areas so monsters won't spawn) There are other reasons the skills will increase the economy, these are some obvious and big ones.
