No Freaking Dwarves In Karik

To my understanding, Karik has reason to fight -

The dwarves split in two and created another nation, making them weaker in arms and men. Many dwarves arms are needed for battle and digging

The hostility between the two nations has evaporated. The real problem is the huge size of the city combined with the fact that our server does not cap at 500-1000 players. The city is built for around 30-50 people to always be around and has no town center for people to talk and meet up. Once these issues are addressed, the city will be running fine.

Blackhawk you got to be joking Krik is the biggest city in all the lands. It can house all of the population of the server. Its your job to make it active as the leaders of dwarfs.

Broski is the leader along with Gimrick and Bazian, Darius is only the leader of Kal'dwain.

Either I didn't express what I was saying correctly or you misread. That's exactly my point! The city is so huge, that while walking around you will sparsely see people. I simply suggested that a central meeting area be constructed so that everyone can talk and not wander around aimlessly. And yes, I'm only the leader of Kal'Dwain, although I am on the second council.

The city overall design was kinda bad...too narrow and too difficult to socialize with people. The only way to do so is the clan halls, but only a member of the clan is allowed in a clan hall so its difficult to gather.

Redesigning the city would be wise, IMO. It has no place to gather and congregate in, to attract foreigners and keep citizens together.

Like darius said, Karik needs a city center. Its a city with the population of a town.

What if we hold public events, such as many tournaments, public executions, theatre, and contests? It would bring back some interest.

I highly doubt Karik would ever be able to take on Holm

(( Lol, I'd honestly like to see all the Humans that live in Holm attack Karik. ))

[[They are working on it don't worry. At the start of 2.0 the dwarves had a lot of issues that caused a chain reaction of players to leave the Kingdom. It can't be fixed overnight but Karik is slowly improving. But their is no central location no constant action in the city. What annoys me is people always complain about a lack of players in the city, but when a new player comes everyone ignores them and pushes them aside.]]

If a majority of the Dwarves have abandoned Karik to move to other places, then perhaps abandoning Karik would be a viable role-playing option. Would be interesting to see what could happen in that regard. If Karik is empty, then there is no way that it could be defended. Of course, as a Dwarf, you could be stubborn and sit on the throne until you die, but it could give your race a unique story in the fact that many dwarves have moved away from the grand halls to pursue a different life. Karik will always be there. I for one would like to see the Dwarves fighting for the right to stake a claim to the capital city being that it is the crown jewel of the Dwarven Nation, but Brent, you must realize, if there are only two Dwarves besides yourself in Karik, then getting together an army to conquer Holm would not sound very believable in RP, so to speak.

Instead of demanding the return of the Dwarves, why don't you all get together out-of-character and plan a big elaborate campaign to restore the Dwarven nation. We don't have to settle every issue with war claims and PvP battles. Epic story arcs are much more fun and involving for all players than a 10 minute PvP battle that decides the future of a whole race. Let's work together and create a story of epic proportions as the dwarves begin their journey to reclaim Karik and restore the honor of the Dwarves. Just something to consider.

Thank you juno as I do agree war is not always the answer. We even had an idea to have a great evil take over karik the halls would be infested and be a great dungeon to travel in.

I wouldn't say Karik is that bad... Depends on the times. The current "problem" is that all the Dwarves (15-20 ) of em all work together to do the same things. If one goes out to fight bandits, almost all of them follow suit. Thus the city can be empty at times.

We are working on building a town square with markets and accommodations so we can garner more activity in the city.
