I'd like to thank everyone for not completely geeking out about this, Normally when it comes to Mog doing something wrong the server explodes but you all waited to hear the whole story! :3 yay!

It's incredibly disheartening to have misinformation thrust into public eye that stirs the pot.  Obviously seeing the whole story there was nothing done wrong, simply he overreacted, but now because he geared his leaving thread directly in an antagonistic way to imply that Mogroka had thrust him out, everyone immediately believes it (even I I admit).   This is why for the most part we should always make sure we give the whole story if we are going to post iffy affairs publicly, it could come back and bite you in the ass.

I'd just like to point out that this is an opinion, one that is not the only opinion even after having heard both sides of the story and seeing all screenshots presented thus far.

In all honesty. As a staff we don't always agree with one another. We sometimes get very over emotional about what we feel is best for the server. I know i have once or twice, but always it gets resolved. Now in the past, as i have no bias or negative feelings for or against hawk, but in the past he has rage quitted the chat several times, Over arguing politics, over stepping the comfort zones by trolling personal matters then being reprimanded by the admins and few other reasons. This is not saying it was is fault in any of the situations, nor is it implying that he was instigating or truly picking a fight but that he gets very over emotional and rage quits. I have never seen any other GM have to do that to "cool off" or because they were angry. 

 

Now, im going to be real with you all. this isn't the official response from the Administration staff, and maybe i'll get slapped for this; but as much as i like the staff members that have been quitting, they weren't doing anything. They'd pop there heads in here and there to express a negative disagreement with a policy then vanish. OR they simply were never around doing GM work; playing other games, RPing and ignoring modreq, or simply just randomly disappearing. I get we all have personal lives and things happen; but we have slots, and if they are partialing being filled lets empty them and move in someone that can contribute and server LOTC more. I get some of them were your friends or part of your "group" but overall of GM work load and efficiency; nothing changes. We can see number of modreq done, we see forum posts and moderation, we can see events and team lead work being done; and so far in the last few months; no one has quit that has been an important contributor or importance to the overall server. Except with the exception of Shift native and our coders. But even then; some didn't want to do the work because it would take to long, or because it was boring, or because they felt unappreciated since they were at the position they were in and not more and one wanted something totally different from the server and started a side project. They have all left for there own reasons. If you can't handle the attitude or work style of one person to the point it makes you quit; then you are weak or really just don't care that much. So rest assured; the staff members that are the main pushers, contributors, and progressers of LOTC are still here; working hard on giving the community a server that they want.

 

But again, this isn't just about hawk, i liked him as a GM and his modpack helped out a lot, but he did that prior to being a GM so that has no connection to him quitting the team. Now we will have to all simply follow the directions of installing mods, the order to do so, and maintaining backups to fix our errors. As for everyone else that has left and used a staff disagreement to cover up there real reasons; the server hasn't stopped and actually more work has been done in the past weeks with staff quitting than late summer before they started quitting; back when we first started 3.0 (prior to its release to the public), and only a few of the staff members worked to try and have it done on time. 

 

 

Again no hard feelings and this isn't the official response of the LOTC staff team; just an opinion that has been observed from a GM who has seen it all.

I'd just like to make one thing clear. Hawk's departure wasn't the result of the behaviour of Mogroka -- Mogroka was entirely correct in his response to Hawk on the issue that was discussed. 
 

Personal relations are something that will often cause issues when working on a team - and they really aren't particularly bad between the current staff, they're better than they used to be.
