End Of The Orc-Dwarf War

It is time to bring this war to an end. There were several OOC issues concerning this war and a lot of problems, it is not necessary to go into details as the people involved know what happened to lead us to this decision. This isn't an alliance nor is it a peace-treaty but just a temporary cease-fire. We could perhaps continue this in 3.0 once everyone is in a more stable position for RP and have some fun battles. As for now I have come to the decision to end this war for the betterment of everyone before it escalates out of control OOCly. Till next time Dwarves.

You cant just end a war oocly. Just cause there is a confusion in ooc you fix it so we can have better battle. I will just tell you this we will not stop a war for ooc reasons and not rply cause we have had it with orcs in rp.

Yup, it might be OOC but it's the smart thing to do sometimes. (Can't voice my opinion on this case in paticular since I'm not involved. edit: And I don't know about the situation.)

Although I have great respect with you Brevias, I would have to disagree on this. You couldn't break down the wall because you wanted to use magic that you weren't approved to use.... Also the use of siege equipment would have turned the raid into a siege. So let's not throw around allegations, ok?

 

Honestly though both sides are at fault on this, I believe. And quite honestly I think a official server wide war system again would be the best approach. Since a localized one is not effective enough.

I would honestly agree with waiting until 3.0. These are just nonsensical skirmishes, that really don't make any sense for colonies that are preparing for the next leg of their journey. It just doesn't make sense from a RP standpoint to be warring on the way to your final destination. The wait will allow people to cool their heads.

However what I will say about the, so far, inevitable war OOC rage. Stop making so many damn rules. It's turning into a bureaucratic shitstorm. Logic dictates that you cannot do certain things. Courtesy dictates that you should not do certain things. You should all be working together to make a fun war.

Quit trying to tear each other down so much. It's been preached so many times that we're supposed to roleplay, not play to win. If you lose, so what? If you win, so what? What matters is, you conduct yourself respectfully, and collaborate with your enemy OOCly. That way, everyone has fun. I wasn't there for the battle today, but from what I can tell, it wasn't the best.

It's a war, we're meant to have them. So change your attitude so that we can have more of them. Basically, what I'm trying to say... Chill out. Distance yourself from what is meant to be an IC conflict. And have fun.

Herein lies the problem.  The magic list is not comprehensive for the Shaman subtype.  I had explained it to them but they refused either way.  Not to mention when we where chased to our fort walls and stone where broken with emotes but we weren't allowed to do the same to you.  That is where the unfairness comes into play.  We gave multiple suggestions but they all fall under the "seige" category at your convenience.

A good move. Where and when did some of you forget that this is just a game and if you're not enjoying the gameplay as a real life person you have the full right to stop it. This was a totally warranted move and a justified one at that. RL and OOC feelings, happiness and comfort are more important than explaining why your pixel war ended to meet irrelevant lore standards.
