_pok_ 1759 Share Posted August 3, 2013 The Beasts Stir The forces of Anthos slowly marched north, the sound of horses, hogs, and cattle fill the plans of the North with noise. However, they are not the only creatures stirring. Orcs roared, mounting ballistas and trebuchets, their weapons crashing against each other as they perform ancient rituals. Shamans gather the Orcs together, granting them blessings from their old father, Krug, as they prepare for battle. The Orcs roar with anticipation. They wait for their orders to open fire. Goblins stir, alerting the rest of Anthos that a great battle is coming, and their blades are needed in the coming struggle with the great War Horns of Strigzgoi, former relics from Anthos. The Orcs, decades removed from a great Golden Era, march to return to past glories. The Adunians are the first to answer the call, their forces rally beside the Orcs, the King rallying his men to the banner of the newborn Kingdom. They prepare to cross the great river and take down the walls of Castle Grewyn and liberate their northern borders. The Three Kingdoms of the Northern Coalition, Oren, Savoie, and Galahar answer next, their great Knights and banners flying high as they ride from the east. The remnants of their great Empire inspires them to march. The Flayed Man, The Dragon, and The Holy Warriors march for their own reasons, but are unified by their blood and their heritage. The Grand Kingdom of Urguan marches North with its vassals, it’s own banner flying highest of all. The largest Empire Anthos has ever seen. Their technology and tactics have brought them this far and they are ready to take the fight northward. For too long have they rested, it was time for war and the sleeping giant has been awakened. The Kharajyr follow, moving through their dense jungles and loading onto warships. They will come to the mainland to fight this strange threat. They wish to prove their strength once and for all to the realm of Anthos. They prepare for the coming struggle, they have everything to prove. The Elves march from the West, looking to take back areas lost to them. They set their sites on the grove of the Druids, preparing with all their might to take back Their bows are drawn back, their days of prosperity are long over but now they seek to revive those days and so they must purge the corruption. The stage is set. The armies are ready. The great battle is coming. Siege weapons line the Drakewater River, set and ready to fire. Soon, Anthos will be changed forever. For better or worse, it has yet to be decided. [[OOC: The Battle will take place on Saturday, August 3rd at 4:00PM EST. Don’t worry, if you need weapons or armor they will be available to you if you come early to the battle and find the Orcish leaders, Mingpow321 or _Pok_. Lanader - Richard Tarus 196 Share Posted August 3, 2013 Richard observed the northern lands from a tower at the Adunian war camp, a frown upon his face. He notices all of the forces rallying, bringing a smile upon his face that all of the races could unite to fight together against this force. He put his staff aside, and took a seat, meditating. The man prepared for the upcoming battle, and he needed to be at full strength. Archarin Elendil had made his way to the Adunian camp, with two swords on his back. One was a silver sword, the other being an iron long--sword. He finally had the chance to test and prove his skills in battle against the corrupted. 5678 260 Share Posted August 3, 2013 The first casualties were two unfortunate beings. One was an orc named Kugar, the other a human named Arianna. They burned to death in the gates, all the while being watched by Burzumkil. The first blood had been shed that day, and the Kambasor took is as an omen. They would be victorious.
