AN ACOLYTE’S THESIS ON PRAYER 6th of The First Seed, 1795 INTRODUCTION Prayer, the act of giving & receiving to the lord almighty. You step upon your feet, kneeling upon your leg bone armoured by both your spirit & your weathered cloth, damaged from days of travel..with the only thing on your mind being GOD. You clasp your hands, closing your eyes..before then your eyes are on the gaze of the altar, a fine mosaic of mother Julia & exalted Horen. You then recite a chant, a chant you've learned in youth-the words coming out of your mouth almost flow within the air as you speak.. Prayer can be anything, from an asking of GOD to a conversation with GOD, it should be stated that any devout canonist should hold prayer at least once a week, in that way their mind is guided by the light of Horen, & does not stray away to the darkness of ignorance & atheism. ON THE PRAYER OF GOOD BLESSING As mentioned before, some types of prayer can be an asking of GOD to benefit for your mortal life, with that being said, there is infact a certain prayer in which holds this practice, that being the Prayer for good blessings. In Flexio; “Propalatam Deus, da nobis multa sunt beneficia ut non palpet proximorum expendas. Quia tu id etiam a misericordissimo et maxima benevolentia atque amantissima. In nomine Patris, amen.”. In common; “Holiest GOD, please bring us the many blessings that You are oft to bestow. For You are the most merciful, the most benevolent, and most loving. In nomine Patris, amen.”. The prayer of good blessing is a request directed to God, in return they grant you a favourable blessing, quite simple, though truly miraculous within the mortal eye. ON THE PRAYER FOR THE POOR The poor have always been looked down upon in common human society, the question is whether or not you take pity for them, or disregard them. Upon the sight of the Canonist scriptures, it is to be seen that the church of Canon asks of you to take pity on the poor, through charity or what not-the most common practice of aiding those in need is reciting the Prayer for the poor. Doing so would benefit those who are needy through the light of Horen. ON PRAYER The aforementioned sections are examples of prayers held by the general Canonist public..if you haven't already noticed, they are prayers asking of GOD to do an action to benefit yourself & or someone(s) else’s life. While I have no problem with this-as I shall not ever so dare disregard the Church, it is a bit greedy to use GOD as a tool to fulfill your own wishes, I could be wrong though it is quite strange. On the topic of prayer, however-ask yourself, what is true prayer..you could bring up the prayers I've just mentioned, or-if you're a devout fellow, you know of the almost magnificent prayer sessions in which you speak with GOD through conversation, I myself believe this is the highest form of prayer, for is it not the goal of the good Canonist to establish connection with God? Not only this, though he grants you reward through blessing. Remove yourself & know that in whatever circumstance, you are a servant of God, once you recognize that, you will experience eternal joy with God, even beyond death..
