  1. THE PETRINE FIGHTS SORCEROUS POWER LENDS ITS MIGHT The Sorcerers of Hohkmat, in accordance with the Merzhin-Garmont Traite, do summon the Magi of Hohkmat to war - and by the power of the Eternal Struggle of the mysteries, from the seat of Hohkmat I DEMAND: Vizier Ayche is elevated to the title of Eldritch of Hohkmat - to serve as General of our war effort, to convene a council of war with officers of his choosing, and in coordination with Petra, to raise a contingent of Evocation Magi to serve in the Petran war effort, and the supplies required to arm them. The entirety of this nation shall take direction from Eldritch Ayche in all matters regarding war, with no equal save myself. War is upon the sorcerous state, but conflict is ever natural to the mage: live not with fear, but with the power you have rightly earned. Show the enemy the talents you have harnessed in peace. We suffer not the fool. Martial law of gates is henceforth imposed - those enemies unwise enough to wander our gates shall receive naught but a swift voidal death. GRAND-MAGISTER, Razad the 'Fatebinder', Hierophant of the Mysteries, Master of the Ziggurat of Hohkmat
  2. The Grand Magister would congratulate Isabella on a strong agreement for the Magi of Hohkmat "Well done" perhaps the best kind of compliment he could give someone. "Now...the others" he said, looking off into the Horizon, his staff pivoting into the stone on a grinding motion.
  3. "Lanre .." he remarks to a scribe walking with him "Has always been a pretentious elf. To request peace in the same breath that he makes war. To plot the downfall of society and the beg it's forgiveness." Sighs his hands behind his back as he walks down the palace corridors"It would have been better for him that he would admit his wrong doings and fade into obscurity like Valindra, and lash out privately at his world about him - letting tavern bar crawlers receive his sympathies alone" "These scales, however, are out of balance..." He says once more looking to the scribe "Gather the War Council, we will defend when we have been attacked. Lanre has managed to use his dark powers to puppet the people of Veletz, and I am told the Army of Veletz strike across Aaunic lands in this attack, our strategy will need to be..." The Grand Magister affirmed with great and powerful wisdom, dictating the next steps.
  4. Delightful. Injuries so appear to be on the rise. Remarked Razad.
  5. THE GREAT KAGGATH: VICTORY in THE PURGE of PARADOX -A Voice Booms over Hohkmat from within the palace. Augmented by magic, it echos along the entirety of Hohkmat - spouting from the stone statues that bear Razads mana seal. The Grand Magister himself is seen in combat marred robes, blood all over his spear, his Yisar neighs defiantly with hisses as he strides into the ritual room - his voice bellows from the Yisar shaped head of the palace- My Sorcerers, today we must celebrate our victory against a Rogue Magi in KAGGATH. The ancient right of power struggle between magi. For we sorcerers have expelled from our ranks the Ibleese worshiper and his cohorts. Months ago the Mage known as Lanre Cerusil had earned his spot as a Lord-Magister in our fair city. The young mage was extremely talented - his arrogance and ambition was boundless, but my duty is not to stifle ambitions. The Magisters have a great many freedoms, of which I cultivate their visions to the benefit of us all. There are limits to this tolerance. I come from the true lineage of Fahrazad the Great first Grand Magister of Hohkmat, who has taught us that no mage must grow so powerful over others - that he would use that power for enslavement. When I had discovered Lanre had resorted to using artifacts of necromantic power, and had made allies with the forces of Ibleese in attempts to subdue the magi under his visions of grandeur and demonic alliances: the limit had been crossed. My Magisters were cowed by fear, and I had resolved that only I had the fortitude to take this threat on for what it was - my sacred duty under the Mysteries. Take heart, Sorcerers, for Lanres first and last mistake is that he assumed me - and our Magi as weak. Slaves in his plot to domination beyond Hohkmat. He had begun among shadows to plot his subjugation of our nation, cajoling , threatening and bribing magi of this city into compliance. The Mysteries are clear in my duties, my powerbase and retinue was called to the fore - Knights, Magi, Paladins and allies alike stormed the district of Paradox to subdue Lanre once and for all. We would come to fully know the source of Lanres power this day. Draconic forcea and agents of Ibleese would join in this clash of power. Azdrazi stormed into the fight - and despite us outnumbering him, we can understand and see what Ibleese’s power in what will do to a man - his soul traded for these dark gifts and allies. His forces were greatly wounded, some mortally - much as one can fell the demonic permanently. Our power proved unstoppable even for his powerful force, however, limping away in defeat - it is doubtful this is the last we will see of him. The name Lanre Cerusil is now a known Rogue Magi whom consorts with darkness - and may no realm of decent people harbor him, lest they be known for their association with the forces of chaos and downfall of descendant kind. Fear is cast from this city at last. The Unity of the Magi is paramount, for our challenges are many. My eyes have been opened that in the future , Magisters shall be more aligned to this vision. The entirety of my Viziers showed loyalty, and that you all rallied to my side in this Kaggath shows that Hohkmat shall not tolerate the whims of tyrants of oppression and the forces of Ibleese. Our Fight is not over. Though we have routed our enemy - our victory is not complete, for he lives to fight another day. He is wounded and his ego shattered, but he will stew and he will plot. He will continue to allay enemies against us - the only thing he shall respect is our strength. Rogue Magi, as any agent of Ibleese, shall be met only with violence by our own Magi. Lanre is considered extremely dangerous - and this warning must resonate globally. The Chamber of Fire, and our Magi must ever be prepared to deliver in our defense. To the Lady-Magisters, Our business is not done. You are both summoned to me, within the next Elven day. This is not a request. I wish to dispel any doubts of lingering demonic influence. Your wisdom in this matter is appreciated. Of accolades, many. We bestow the following about those who showed exemplary conduct in battle. Renilde of Petra, former Queen of the Petran people - we bestow upon you the moniker of “Lightbringer”. Fearlessly charging into battle, wielding a flaming sword at the heart of our enemy , did you so willingly put yourself in danger and take from that Dark Mage his arm a trophy for your efforts. May it remind you of your triumph this day, and a reminder of our people's joint commitment in expelling darkness from Aevos. Ayche, Vizier of the Chamber of Fire, we bestow upon you the moniker of “Magister Breaker” - for the relentless battering of the forces of the enemy, your loyalty and ferocity are an acknowledgement of your strength against even our most powerful Magisters. Our victory over these forces in the Battle of the Purge of Paradox shall be commemorated with a bust in your honor within its entrance. Your stone likeness forever gazing upon the battlegrounds. SO BOUND GRAND-MAGISTER, Razad the 'Fatebinder', Hierophant of the Mysteries, Master of the Ziggurat of Hohkmat
  6. *A Directive to the Chamber of Fire & Lord-Magister Cerusil, has mysteriously been leaked made public* Vizier Ayche, It has come to my attention that some doubt has been sowed as to the strength of Hohkmat. I would reaffirm to the public the strength of even just a sliver of the forces at my command. You are to conduct a parade and maneuvers within the district of Lord-Magister Cerusil as an opportunity to interact with the public. I have heard most unfortunate reports of Magi within my city being threatened by an agent of ill intent. Such reports are to be taken seriously and dealt with violently - please execute justice fairly and in accordance with the law and know that any may approach you discreetly with these reports and receive my protection. My concern for the safety of the magi of this city is paramount. Afterwards, let us march to meet our allies and their military forces for a joint exercise. As I have coordinated to have them positioned nearby in mass to join in the festivities. Drinks after the event shall be covered by the government. Work with the Chamber of Earth to have all booze paid for at the expense of the treasury. Lord-Magister Cerusil, You shall host me as your distinguished guest within your district for this event, do not be alarmed. The day and time of the event shall be made a surprise for you, as I have been told of your fond love of mystery and intrigue and I am nothing if not mysterious and jovial in my desire to delight - we shall not cross too much of your territory. If we catch you unaware at the appointed time and the hour - I believe you'll find it all the more entertaining. I trust that you will receive me well. Grand Magister, Fatebinder
  7. The Fourth Lady-Magister TO THE CHALLENGER CALLED YERA SILVEIRA You have demanded your seat amongst the hall of power, within the Obsidian Thrones of the greatest Magi in all of Aevos. The Sorcerous City has grown three fold since its founding, and thus in lieu of a direct contest for one of its seats - I have instead considered whether to expand our demesne. To Govern over the rising population of Wizards, Magi, and Sorcerers within our walls. I have considered your talents. A Mage must be more than a brute force instrument, they must possess cunning, guile, and magical mastery. Shall you know when to be ruthless and when to make an ally of an enemy? I have considered your ambitions. Each Magister on this council serves a purpose: Strength & Power, Mystery & Magic, Guile and Discovery - and a Grand Magister to balance these ambitions. As Farazad the Great, First Grand Magister of the Hakad once learned of Warlods cloaked in Mages clothing - shall you know when your ambitions are too great - and too dangerous? I have considered your power. Drawn from those skills not readily visible to those around them. Many will gnaw and bite at the tethers of your robes, many more will gnash teeth in displays of power - yet in this you have shown the ability to both survive and thrive. For greed, wielded right, is indeed good - a lesson of the great paradox of the Mysteries. Shall you wield your power wisely? I deem your challenge worthy: And deny you no further by what is right by your own merit, to be named as LADY-MAGISTER of THE DISTRICT OF BOUNDLESS GREED. In sworn fealty to the throne of the Grand Magister, our fates are now bound. If there any in this city who would challenge your claim, they have ONE ELVEN WEEK to make their claim known and contest your ascension - and may due so by ANCIENT KAGGATH. SO BOUND GRAND-MAGISTER, Razad the 'Fatebinder', Hierophant of the Mysteries, Master of the Ziggurat of Hohkmat (In response to: )
  8. A Sorcerer-King lays in far off lands, cradling his fingers....taking note of the state of Lurin's affairs. For better, or worse.
  9. The Saneyir would scratch his chin, noting privately to himself that all Elves had blood ties to Malin. Though, given that he was friends with the Princess - decided that he would keep his thoughts to himself - and try to discern who these Kaeronin claimants were. Thinking aloud "Glad to see the Amathean crown asserting itself once more"
  10. Portrait of Edvard Kervallen The Age of the Sage Determined to acknowledge those Magi who have made immeasurable contributions to the realm of magic, the void and all those who wield it. Who have demonstrated commitment to their fellow magi and their safekeeping, we do acknowledge before all sorcerers of Aevos a wizard to whom is called more than MASTER by his peers having risen to the heights of discovery, invention and progress. MASTER Edvard Kervallen, for the following deeds; o Discover of Magic deep and profound, to include Atronach Eyes and Sand Atronachs o Wielder of the magnum opus The Fire Stag o The creator of the Arcanium Hammer o For breathing life into walking titans, the Brutus Golems of Hohkmat, to which you have generously agreed to provide many. We do hereby elevate you as SAGE of Hohkmat and appoint you as an honorary advisor to its Chamber of Stars. We further direct our Chamber of Earth to erect a statue of Edvard the Sage's bust within our city, in honor of his deeds - past and current. SO BOUND, GRAND-MAGISTER, Razad the 'Fatebinder', Hierophant of the Mysteries, Master of the Ziggurat of Hohkmat
  11. The Grand Magister would hand the missive to his Vizier of Wind, @Dj_McMuffin"Can you believe this Isabella? The Haensemen still espousing Voidal magic as heretical...while they disown and kill their own kin. "
  12. The Retinue of Sorcerers A Beginners Guide to Magic, Power and Politics in Hohkmat Determining the sorcerous path can be an arduous journey. For most it comes in gradual steps. Rarely it comes, without the use of dark means, by great bounds in rapid succession. The typical journey is marked by stages, and while there are few formal ranks among the Hakad sorcerers - save their powerful Magisters and Viziers, an informal system of caste has emerged as a means to aid in determining one's position in society. The most powerful of Magi incorporate these individuals together, employing them under their service in a variety of roles - to which we often call a retinue and is a simple assessment of one's power. Many, unmeasurable, qualities make up power - however a large and potent retinue is an absolute must should one wish to claim a position of serious power within Hohkmat, let alone strike out against a Magister. This guide is meant to help new arrivals in Hohkmat learn to navigate the labyrinth of mageocratic politics and aid in their journey to learn magic so they do not end up as a forgotten scorch mark in a castle wall for crossing the wrong wizard. It is our hope this begins a journey of ones own personal ambitions in the pursuit of knowledge and companionship which propels you to great heights. Attendants Attendants hold a variety of roles within a Mage’s retinue but the one thing they all have in common is that they do not know voidal magic. Attendants are further divided between three types. Sanfi: contracted personnel who work for a mage and have no intent on ever becoming a mage. From caravan guard mercenaries, merchants, smugglers, Alchemists et all. Mercenaries are especially valued sanfi, protecting mages during periods of magical exhaustion. Although a Sanfi is in the ‘lowest’ rung of political power, they draw authority from whom they work for. Thus a Sanfi of a Lord-Magister may carry significant authority over higher ranked members of society. Familiars & Exotics: A collection of exotic & familiars and rare attendants falls broadly into this category. They enhance the retinue of a mage because it means they have something that others do not. Whether that is a rare Yisar, A living doll, a Jing bonded creatured, or construct or automaton - familiars and exotics make for highly sought after members of a retinue. Mages have been known to pay exorbant prices for familiars and exotics that have no practice use other than to showcase a rare possession. Aspirants: These are members of a Mages retinue who want to be their student, or eventually their apprentice. They perform a variety of work on behalf of a mage, and have indicated by joining their retinue that they are generally aligned with their theories and moral norms on the use of the void. This is the first step on many hopefuls who wish to become a mage, aligning themselves with a teacher. A Mage benefits from keeping a large pool of Aspirants as a set of followers, who will aid them in conflict and take on risky or mundane projects as well as identifying a potential magic heir to their authority. Common favorable skills of Aspirants that make them attractive candidates to learn magic, though unique qualifications matter. Housemagery Bardmancy Alchemy Competent Writers & Scholars [Mage Quick Facts. It is a fact that begging a mage to learn magic is a fast proven way to never learn it. All aspirants are encouraged to take up Housemagery or Bardmancy as a means to show their dedication of study and offer their time and talent to a senior mage's retinue.] Sanctioned Sorcerer Non-Magical Sanfi are respected for their work, but their role in political life ends at the rank of Aspirant. For the rest of the magical society, the first step within the political class of Hohkmat begins upon their first connection to the void, transcending from Aspirant to a fully sanctioned mage of the Arcane. The role of “Sorcerer” is wide and deep in definition and refers to a large swath of magical society. Rarely does a mage singularly fall within a neat categorization, and often powerful mages with large retinues may also be a student under another powerful mage. What is most important is that once earned, this title allows citizenship and political representation within Hohkmat. All members of the Hohkmati government must be Mages. Powerful magi take on many students, looking to tutor those who will meet their own personal goals in doing so - however benevolent or nefarious that may be. A general guide is provided below. Institutions and other mages are encouraged to use this system in applying discrimination where neccesary. In non-magical feudal societies, these individuals would hold the lowest rank of unlanded nobility within their realm such as a Hedge Knight. Novice: The Mage knows the basics of one form of magic (T2 MA or below) Journeyman: The Mage knows at least one magic at an advanced level, or more than one magic at a basic level (T4 or above in one MA, two T2-T3 MAs). Adept: The Mage knows at least two forms of magic at an advanced level, or more than three magics at a basic level (Two T4 or above MAs, Three T2-T3 MAs) [Mage Quick Facts: Sorcerers can carry other titular terms used in Hohkmat that indicate other neutral or negative status' such as Unsanctioned (Read: 'Foreigner') , Rogue (Read: 'Criminal'), or Apostate (Read: 'Dark Magician’). It's a good idea to avoid unwanted labels.] The Apprentice - Heir by succession To be an apprentice within Hohkmat is to be more than a student. An apprentice is the direct heir to a magical household of a Master. The succession system of Hohkmat is called “magical true lineage”, one which goes from Master to a single apprentice upon their master's death. The name of their lineage goes as far back in masters as known. Thus students seek a prestigious lineage to inherit as an apprentice, and masters seek powerful students to carry on the legacy of their masters, masters, master etc. Comparable to other societies, a Master's apprentice is equivalent in other nations to a blood relative. An apprentice may be of any rank, from Novice to Master themselves, their prestige a reflection of their own master. Elevating a student to the title of apprentice comes with great consideration. A Master may be judged for the actions of their apprentice or for their lack of care of an apprentice. Conversely, an apprentice of great ability and renown may elevate the Masters line to new heights. An apprentice to a Lord-Magister would assume their post, their belongings etc - and great care should be taken by the Master to avoid an untimely death. To avoid a tragic accident, a Master normally takes on multiple apprentices. As only one apprentice may succeed the master, this system encourages apprentices to prove their worth to become head of the line of succession - only when there is an undisputed successor among Apprentices, may one take their former Masters place. The Lord-Magisters have restrictions in that all of their apprentices must be approved by the Chamber, and they may never have more than three apprentices. This affords some stability within the upper echelons of power. [Magic Quick Facts: The apprentice-Master bond is not unbreakable, but breaking these relationships are an egregious social taboo. To disown an apprentice, or to leave your Masters household is a very negative and shameful event. ] Masters of the Arcane Some Mages will start to become so powerful, they may begin to wear the title of “Master” - and may finally feel strong enough to gather their own retinues. It is at this stage in a Mages career would they be permitted to challenge a Lord-Magister for their seat. Anything less would be a pithy and senseless death sentence, and the Grand Magister would not entertain such challenges. Any mage would be greatly bolstered by having Masters aligned to their cause and within their Retinue. Again, those navigating the political workings of Hohkmat are provided a handy reference guide. In Non-magical feudal societies, we might consider these individuals as unlanded Baronets. The Council of Masters: A self governing body of Magi which determine mages who are worthy to be proclaimed Masters and Sages. The Council of Masters is typically led by a Sage, chosen as 'Head Master', and has a host of ceremonial and formal duties - chief among them, the nomination of the Grand Apprentice as the heir to the throne of Hohkmat (Updated with the passage of The Diktat of Fahrazad) Master: Reserved for those Mages who are so adept in an art, they have begun to take on their own students or have fully mastered multiple magical arts. Sage: Magi who have discovered new magics, or created a magnum opus have a special honorific among Mastery. Many famous spells and magical artifacts carry their moniker, and they are given a special permanent advisory position among the Chamber of Stars. Special Orders: Viziers and Magisters Mages who have through their power climbed the peak of the political class within Hohkmat have gained special recognition that places them formally above their peers. Vizier: Chosen from among their peers to lead the Government offices of Hohkmat. In many ways, the Chamber in which they lead has become their “retinue”. They are politically equivalent to a Master, and are considered members of the Grand Magister's personal Retinue. There is a single Vizier for each Chamber of Government (Earth, Water, Fire, Wind) and one in charge of the Academy of the Sorcerous Path. Lord/Lady Magister: These mages know no equals within all of Aevos for their sheer magical power. Sovereign princes of magic, forging ahead with whatever purpose they have in mind for the use of magic - for the betterment of all mages. The Grand Magister: The sovereign of Hohkmat. The Grand Magister may or may not be the most individually powerful mage among the Chamber of Lord-Magisters, but their retinue and power is unquestionable - judged more for their ability to unify magi, promote talent, and put down magical threats to society. They serve as the face to outside Governments and must be an adroit politician. [Mage Quick Facts: One becomes a Lord-Magister by demanding a seat on the council, publicly declaring your challenge to the Grand Magister who will determine whether the challenge is worthy and to whom the Challenger gets to fight. Or whether a new seat is to be created.Whether that is the Chambers weakest mage, or simply the Grand Magister's rival - a challenger should expect to be able to hold their own against any of the Lord-Magisters. Challengers are expected to have an impressive retinue.] Sprite art accredited to the Ragnarok Online Team.
  13. Not allowing people to forum bully people into a PK is a good rule. Don't remove it. Snarky one liners - glad they are gone. Ideas trend here, and when a post comments are dominated by anonymous hate comments it deflates the poster and potentially their post content. Why do people R? Simple, image. Anyone whose been a NL knows you carefully curate posts so that the first page is filled with positive comments. Im a boomer but I understand the effect of this on the young community here. It's not just the clicks, it showcases a positive atmosphere for potential new players. I think you should let people R and have 24 hours to respond.
  14. The Saneyir looked at this Viscounty and felt it was time to meet Xavier, imparting upon him the long lessons learned in his time of such Elven havens. The Elf would descend once more from his Sanctuary.
  15. The Saneyir would smile for his old friend, clearly the Elven Pantheon has brought laurels to him and the bronzed Elves.
  16. There's always some dissidents out there trying to disparage the magic communities of our era, it is pleasing to see the Lurinites cleared of such false accusations. Remarked Razad.
  17. "For what can be said of Heartland Rulers, Queen Renilde was fair...and by all accounts, decent." Perhaps one of the best compliments Razad might offer to a non-mage.
  18. Ascension to the Chamber of Lord-Magisters Our magi know no equals, their power envied by the realm of Aevos across the continent. To hold one of the three seats of Lord or Lady Magister of Hohkmat is a bold proclamation of authority and power, the mastery of one's own magical prowess - but also a fierce contest against the challenges of others. It is the ability to command allegiance, obedience and support. To draw on power not only of the void, but to command others to your cause. We do not appoint Lord-Magisters as vassals in service to the Grand Magister , no. Instead their claim is acknowledged as irresistible, no longer containable by the powers of their lessers - the Magi known as Lanre Cerusil has made such a demand, and his challenger has proved wanting. It is from this day, this Chamber can no longer deny the power of Lord-Magister Lanre Cerusil who has seized for his own one of the great Obsidian thrones, elevated him and his apprentices to that of great mage house - of greatest nobility and award to him the district of the Eternity as his own. Unseated from her place of power is the Magi Vapatia of Akritos. A Magister knows few equals, is bound by few laws, and strives for the betterment of all Magi. His will is now bound to that of Hohkmat. Lord-Magister Cerusil is entitled to parade his victorious forces from the Gates of Hohkmat, to his obsidian throne within Eternity. Victory belongs to the victor. The Lord-Magister may celebrate this day as he sees fit. Glory to the Lord-Magisters, may tommorow serve as a new dawn for his ideals of all those rallied to his banner. SO BOUND GRAND-MAGISTER, Razad the 'Fatebinder', Hierophant of the Mysteries, Master of the Ziggurat of Hohkmat
  19. The Grand Magister was handed the missive while soaking in a public hot bath , wafting his hand at the servant "Did this orc learn to write just to declare to the world that he has no hygiene and that he'll fight anyone that does? Go give the missive to some House mage making baked goods on the street... " He would lay back into his bath, enjoying his first world magic comforts.
  20. The Reaping: Ancient Kaggath TO THE CHALLENGER CALLED LANRE CERUSIL The ‘Reaping’, in the old tongue of the Hakad called the Kaggath is a ritual duel between mages as an ancient method to resolve disputes, and determine those magi who are worthy to call themselves ruler over the Hakad. Each of my Lord and Lady Magisters has earned their place by right of their power, defeating challengers to their claim; petty challenges are not to be entertained. You dare to challenge their power? You dare to show such audacity? To claim the seat as one of Aevos’ most powerful Magi as your own? I say before this council of Lord-Magisters, the Hakad, and all Sorcerers of Hakad: Your power, and your challenge, is not to be denied. I affirm your challenge to be a worthy one. As is my duty, I proffer the seat of power to which this challenge is to be conducted for. I therefore declare the following. CHALLENGER: LANRE CERUSIL CHALLENGED: LADY-MAGISTER VAPATIA OF AKRITOS This Kaggath is issued under the following code, which binds us to order, chaos and power. I. GATHER. Challenger and the Challenged shall have a total of 1 year (OOC: 04OCT) to gather allies, supporters, resources, artifacts and power. There is no restriction to who or what allies may be gathered, save those listed below. Both shall seek to form three forces of up to 50 supporters (OOC: 5 people). Ia. No member of the Government of Hohkmat, the Chamber of Stars, or a sitting Lord-Magister may support or aid either party for the total duration of the challenge. Ib. Supporters will need to register with the Grand Magister prior to the start of the Kaggath. Ic. Forfeiting a Kaggath during this period results in a stripping of rank, to be awarded to the winning party. II. POWER. Upon the formal declaration of Kaggath, three sanctioned clashes of the magis powerbases shall occur over a year, culminating in a single duel between the challenger and the challenged. Outside of these sanctioned clashes, each party and their powerbase may sabotage, thief, or harm the other mages powerbase and their holdings. Crimes committed between these powerbases are sanctioned, and subject to no prosecution by the Government of Hohkmat so long as they do not involve members who are not involved in the conflict. IIa. The Challenger and Challenged may seek no further assistance outside of their powerbase, and all Mages are forbidden from providing aid to either party if they have not declared their support during the year prior. Any sorcerer of Hohkmat who violates this is subject to Death. SO BOUND GRAND-MAGISTER, Razad the 'Fatebinder', Hierophant of the Mysteries, Master of the Ziggurat of Hohkmat
  21. The formal petition is delivered before the Grand Magister, and unsealed in ritualistic manner as it is read to him. A small cackle of energy would whip through his weapon , as he looked at the seats of th Lord-Magisters...contemplating this challenge A response is handed to Lanre by one of the palace attendants. Your Request is: Heard The Grand Magister Shall respond within: 24 hours
  22. The Farfolk Magister, Razad, read on with sympathy at his fellow desert goers - and wished the winds of magic to be at their backs. Would he but find their Pharaoh, they would be welcome to share in guest rite amongst his palace.
  23. Seeking Qualified Mercenary Retinues For Mercenary Captains of Renown The Magical City-State of Hohkmat shall be entering into negotiation with Mercenary retinues to serve as a standing company within Hohkmat. The Wizards of the city are in constant need of martial organizations to serve as escort, guard forces, and expeditionary support. We will only take in retinues that do not fear danger or risk - and have an abundance of loyalty to their contractors. Specific details of all contracts will be negotiated. We are open to welcoming multiple companies within the city, however only one shall receive official endorsement. Applicants should seek out the Chamber of Fire, within the city of Hohkmat.
